Vinekit squirmed around blindly after being born, feeling the warmth of her mother and another cat, Dreamleaf, close by. At first she was heading towards her struggling sister Miraclekit but she sensed distress and headed towards the scent of her mother. She snuggled up to her, immediately looking for food and warmth.

The bigger of the kits mewed and crawled around blindly until he bumped into something soft and smelling of milk. He purred and began to suckle unaware of the fight for life going on right next to him.
