New sparks hit the barn [BIRTH TOPIC]

Thinstripe laid in the barn, she groomed herself as the light gleamed, she had recently had become mates with her apprentice who had become a warrior, she had been pregnant for a moon or two and stayed inside the barn now. Scorchpaw would have some new siblings, she knew he would make a great bigger brother. She felt pain hit her belly, she searched for her mate quickly, she also searched for Dreamleaf "Dreamleaf! Lakesong! The kits!" she called in pain.

Scorchpaw's ears pricked as he abandoned the kill he was carrying and sped over to his mother, skidding to a stop. So many kits in the barn... They needed their territory back soon. "A-already?! It seems a little early," he said quickly, sitting on one side of her anxiously. "Dreamleaf is coming, just hang in there..."

Dreamleaf trotted over to Thinstripe with a bundle of herbs in her jaws. This was the second birth in the barn. She was really beginning to hope they could return to Thunderclan once again.
"Hang in there, Thinstripe! I want you to push when I tell you, understood?" Dreamleaf demanded. She dropped a stick at Thinstripe's mouth along with a poppy seed and some chervil. Dreamleaf looked at Scorchpaw.
"Please fetch me some wet moss, quickly!" Dreamleaf asked then turned back to Thinstripe. She sat down and closed her eyes. She pressed her paw to Thinstripe's stomach and waited.
"Push!"

Thinstripe bit down on stick and pushed.

Lakesong raced in just in time for the first of his kits to be born. He went over and tried to soothe Thinstripe by repeatedly licking her on the head murdering how it was gonna be ok

Dreamleaf repeated 'push' again at the next spasm. But something felt off. The medicine cat's fur tingled with apprehension. Why was she feeling this? A small burst of panic shrouded her. She inhaled sharply and looked at the new born kits. Dreamleaf's eyes grew wide, filling with dread. She felt an odd feeling. Dreamleaf panicked and released her paw, going straight for the kit on the ground. The medicine cat began to furiously lick at the kits fur. There were only two kits.

OOC: If I remember correctly, Miraclekit will almost die but will live. So I'll get that happening then

Scorchpaw felt the tension and panic in Dreamleaf's eyes. Fearing for his mother and his growing family, he quickly grabbed a clump of wet moss and returned. As he trotted back, he saw a very weak looking kit that Dreamleaf was furiously licking. He set the moss next to the medicine cat and glanced over at Thinstripe. She looked alright, but he couldn't say the same about the small kit Dreamleaf was focused on. "Will it be okay?" he asked frantically.

The tiny kit that Dreamleaf was licking didn't seem to be responding; she was barely breathing, and she wasn't mewling or moving at all. In fact, she looked dead if you didn't look closely enough to see the very faint rising and falling of her flank.

Thinstripe heard the comousion but pushed again as Dreamleaf said to, she was scared. Why was Dreamleaf licking the kit so frequently?

Lakesong shot a worried glance at Dreamleaf. "Will our kit be ok?" The tom meowed in distress, worry and fear evident on his face.

OOC: No, it's still ok for her to be born right now. Thinstripe is still having them.

Lakesong purred and gently placed the tiny she kit next to Thinstripe's belly.

The kit who was not well-off was getting worse; even with Dreamleaf's licking, her breathing was growing fainter rather than stronger. She was tiny and skinny-- it was obvious that she had been born far too soon.
