Hear the Deputy Bells again, Skyclan

Crowstar had just earned his name. He knew he needed to pick a deputy, and he already had a choice in mind, though he hoped that the rest of his clan would approve of his choice. He hoped that Starclan approved of his choice. The new leader wondered his way over to the meeting area, and quickly jumped up on it. The clan was probably already waiting on his choice, and now they were going to hear it. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather at the Tall Branch for a clan meeting!"

Elkheart padded into the clearing and settling near the warriors den, waiting intently for what Crowstar would say.

Jaypaw padded out of the apprentices den and sat down next to Elkheart

Larkkit didn't know the previous leader, however when there was a meeting called together the kit had jumped up from her nest to bound over. She wanted to know the cat that Crowstar will name the deputy.

Sedgeclaw was seen slinking among the cats. He glared up at... ech... Crowstar. Obviously Sedgeclaw was one of the best candidates to be chosen for deputy. He could've chosen to go back to WindClan with his mother, right? He didn't he was far too loyal to SkyClan. He was the best pick. Let's see if this new leader is fit to rule SkyClan...

Nettletail walked out to see the new leader, sitting on the branch. She sat near Sedgeclaw, who looked like Lost had trained him, too. She had had a crush on the tom for some time, but knew he was, at best, indifferent to her. She turned her attention back to Crowstar. Would she be deputy? She was very strong, and in a position of power, she could perhaps help lead the broken Clan to greatness...

Pebblethorn padded over, heart swelling with sadness and nervousness. Her prideful personality kept her swelled up and strong, through, and though now her father and mother were gone, she'd be okay. She made her way over to Crowstar and her clanmates.

Snowstorm walked over into the clearing. She sat down silent.

Oceanpaw watched from the clearing.

Treestep padded out of the warriors den, still struck with grief after her leaders dead. 'I guess this is the deputy ceremony...' She said to herself as her heart sank.

Mapledrop padded out of the warriors den and took a seat down below.

"The time has come to pick SkyClan's next deputy." Crowstar said simply, gazing out towards his clan. Sorrow still edged his voice from mourning. "I say these words before the spirits of our ancestors so that they may hear and approve my choice. Pebblethorn will be the new deputy of SkyClan." Some were most likely going to question his choice, but he felt Pebblethorn would bring something great to the clan, and that they could work well together. He was confident in his choice, and he hoped Starclan approved.

"Great job Pebblethorn, I know you won't let us down." Treestep purred

Sedgeclaw could feel his heart harden. That... idiot... Among the cheering that seemed to mock him, his gaze switched from Crowstar to Pebblethorn. He hissed angrily under his breath, turning to leave, nearly bowling over Pebblethorn as he raced out from the camp to let off some steam.

Nettletail shook her head in near- disappointment. So Crowstar will be a weak leader after all. A shame... Then the anger came. Here she was- young but experienced, strong and able, the best choice. And he picked this weak new she-cat? She hadn't even been a warrior for a moon! But Nettletail couldn't show it like Sedgeclaw had so foolishly done. She would pretend to be the new deputy's friend. But, then... Well, she had killed before, and if Lost told her to, she would kill again. Perhaps this Clan could still be saved. She walked over to Pebblepaw- no, Pebblethorn. "Congratulations! " she purred, as sweetly and genuinely as possible. " I know Crowstar made the right choice, and you will be a wonderful deputy."

Silverstone, who had been there the whole time, cheered for Pebblethorn as his name was called to be the new deputy.
