"Frozenflame, Dreamleaf!" Cloverpool yowled. She grabbed a stick and bit down as hard as she could.

Frozenflame raced into the nursery. "Cloverpool! Darling, you'll be okay. Dreamleaf! We need help!" The warrior sat down next to his beautiful mate and started to anxiously lick her cheek. He could never forget the exhilarating feeling of just before becoming a father again.

Dreamleaf hurried out of the Medicine Cat Den with a bundle of herbs in her jaws. Inside the bundle were all the essentials. Dreamleaf burst into the Nursery and settled down next to Cloverpool. She pulled a stick and some wet moss over to the queen and pressed a paw to her stomach, checking for the ripples.
"Push," Dreamleaf commanded.

Cloverpool nodded and lapped up the herbs. She bit down on the stick and pushed until two kits lat at her side. She quickly nipped their sacs and licked them until they moved.

A soft mewling sound came from one kit, a brown tabby with white paws and a white tail-tip. The newborn squirmed about, unaccustomed to the sudden cold of the air. A she-kit. Her eyes were screwed up tight, not yet open, and she wriggled more and more with each lick of her mother's tongue.

Dreamleaf helped Cloverpool get their breathing going and she sat back a bit. Dreamleaf let out a sigh of relief and fed Cloverpool a poppy seed to calm her nerves.
"Good job, Cloverpool," Dreamleaf murmured then turned to Frozenflame.
"Congratulations. You are now a Father.. again!" Dreamleaf smiled tiredly.

Although unresponsive at first, the second kit, also a she-cat, eventually gave a soft chirp and nestled closer to her mother's belly.

Frozenflame gave a sigh of relief once the kits were out. He purred and nuzzled his mate before bending down and licking each of the kits. "They are both she-cats?" The grey and ginger warrior asked Dreamleaf, even though he already knew the answer. "Cloverpool, let's name them."

Cloverpool nodded. "I think for the brown tabby Ivykit." She purred.

"That's a beautiful name," Frozenflame replied to his mate's choice. He studied the other kit in the litter. She was a pale ginger color with fur that looked to be feathery. "How about Featherkit for the other one?" He asked with a smile.

"It's perfect Frozenflame." Cloverpool purred gently licking each kit on the head.

The newly named Ivykit purred, and snuggled in deeper towards her mother at the sound of her name, as if the small kit approved. She curled towards the other kit as well, meeting her littermate. Slowly, her movement grew less erratic, and the kit calmed down.

Featherkit gave a huge purr, seemingly too big for her tiny body, as her sister curled closer. She began to suckle and quieted down just like her sister had.
