Continuation of January 2016 Gathering [EVERYONE POST]

Shatteredsoul's narrowed, icy eyes darted around as the clan exploded into chaos after his leader's words. He found himself unsheathing his claws, and he had to force them back in. The tom thought deeply about Thrushstar's words, then made up his mind. With a deep voice, the tom called out above everyone else so that his words were heard by the leader. "Thrushstar! May I speak? I'm sure you want to hear what I have to say, it's important! I have a confession to make!" His claws slipped out again and he dug them into the hard dirt beneath him.

Silverpaw brushed up against her cousin, Redwhisker, to calm him down. Knowing his brother was Nightpaw, he must be distraught. They were kin, and she shared his fury. Had Thrushstar gone mad?! She stiffened as another of her kin, Shatteredsoul, spoke. Dont say something stupid and have them exile and kill you. Yeah, Leopardfang, Dawnflower, Thrushstar... They'd all gone mad...

Soulpaw turned his head to his mentor and adopted nephew, a look of shock on his face.

The Shadowclan leader watched as the clan fell into confusion, fear, anger and ultimately chaos. He knew it would happen but he didn't falter on his words. Even through all of that, Mapleface was still trying to speak to him. He had other things to deal with. He would speak with her later. Shutting out her voice as best as he could, he simply waited until both Dawnflower and Leopardfang spoke up, essentially backing up his threat. It made him feel a little better about his decision on confronting his feelings but it didn't calm his anger in the slightest. His eyes continued shifting between each cat before he heard another voice speak up, the first one being Mudfoot. The tom's first words somewhat shocked Thrushstar. He wasn't really expecting to hear that during this, but then then the warrior continued to speak about believing in Shadowclan. The two phrases kind of balanced each other out when it came to influencing the leader's mood. How can one be loyal to him and still believe in this clan when there were so many code breakers and possible traitors lurking in its ranks?

The next voice that spoke up surprised him. He looked over and noticed Redwhisker enraged with him. It was strange, but the leader listened through most of it until he had had enough. "Nightpaw made his choice! He chose to leave. He chose the life of a rogue after making me look like a fool in the middle of that gathering! I simply warned him of what would happen because of his decision. I told him the consequences of his actions!" Thrushstar hissed as his brain made sense of what was being said and what he was saying. "And kin? Kin means nothing! Brokenflame was my kin! She broke any trust I had with my own family!" The words kept tumbling from his mouth but he stopped dead in his tracks when Shatteredsoul rose up and spoke. He glared at the tom as he mentioned something about confessing, but Thrushstar stayed silent, wanting to hear what the warrior had to say.

Fracturedpaw was in a bit of shock hearing everything. She looked around at most of her clanmates before she looked to her older brother who had then ask to speak and said something about a confession. She was confused now what did her brother have to confess about. She was quiet her ears flat against her whitish silver and black head her bluish eyes a tiny bit wide. She then looked up at Thrushstar before back to her older brother,Shatteredsoul.

He couldn't back down now; he'd look like a coward if he did so, and Shatteredsoul wasn't a coward. He was a ruthless killer, with the blood of his own kin on his paws. The runt stood up as straight as possible and wiped away any trace of nervousness off his face. His cold, icy blue glare locked onto the leader's eyes and he opened his mouth to speak as he felt the stare of his younger sister looking at him. He hoped this wouldn't crush her. "I killed my brother in cold blood," Shatteredsoul growled. That was all he needed to say, and he was glad to have the weight of it thrown off his shoulders. But then something struck him, and he added to his words with the calmest face and voice he had ever spoken with. "But kin means nothing, right?"

Fracturedpaw blinked hearing what he had said. The apprentice shook her head in a bit of disbelief but she moved a tad bit closer to Wildpaw. She looked at her brother her eyes wide.

It seemed no cat cared about believing in each other anymore. The camp was soon bustling with arguments; some agreeing with Thrushstar and some outraged. The tom gave a sigh and sat down, not knowing how to really help. His clan was like a fire that just needed to burn out on it's own. He looked to Mosspaw then to Shatteredsoul who finally confessed. Mudfoot honestly hadn't gotten to know many cats in the clan and wasn't very close to Shatteredsoul. Laying his ears back, his fur bristling he gave a low hiss. Kin does matter. Especially when you kill them in cold blood! He wanted to cry out in anger but kept his muzzle shut.

Dunepaw litteraly felt like the Earth was shaking. With Shatteredsoul's confession, it was made into reality that there were traitors in his Clan, who would murder cats. he lyed down, as his legs couldn't support him any more.

Barkpaw sat in stunned silence.

Webpaw clawed at the ground, growling as he looked around. Why was ShadowClan falling apart now? It's leafbare no less! If these quarrels went on much longer there would be no ShadowClan to argue. He lashed his tail and had to fight to stay still, he still wanted to hear Thrushstar's new rules.

"You.. You killed Rot!!" Soulpaw meowed, referring to his former mentor, after his Shadowclan parents had abandoned him to die in Twoleg place, the tom had taken his under his wing, taught him a little about fighting and hunting, he was so nice to Soulpaw. Now he didn't know what to think of his mentor, looking away in shame and disgust Soulpaw moved closer to Cinderpaw.

Viperpaw's claws slid out of their sheathes and she exposed her teeth in a snarling growl. She stood up with her tail lashing from side to side in anger. How could anyone just do things like this!? she thought. She looked up to Thrushstar. "Thrushstar!" she yowled. "I would never be as fox-hearted as the traitors! I will be a loyal warrior until my soul joins Starclan!" she yowled again with anger and determination. I have to prove that there are still loyal, sane cats in Shadowclan! she thought.

MantisKit was surprised at all of the chaos and anger in the clearing, so she ran back into the nursery in attempt to avoid it.

Wildpaw let out a mutter.
"Our clan is going crazy," Wildpaw shouted. He didn't intend to speak out so loud, but he did. Now he couldn't take it back. He glanced at Fracturedpaw from the corner of his eye then glanced at the other cats.
"How are we supposed to fight if we don't know who to trust. How do we live in peace if we don't know if one of our own clanmates are going to turn on us?" Wildpaw hissed and shook his head in disbelief. He was loyal to Thrushstar, but now Shadowclan was turning into a terrifying place.

Shimmerheart nodded fiercely in agreement to her daughter's outburst. "You can trust me and my family," she yowled passionately. "My mate and I helped to make ShadowClan great. We will stand by you. Any traitors that dare to defy Thrushstar, leader of ShadowClan, I will personally kill if needed!"

Wildpaw's eyes showed fear. His clanmates were willing to kill for Thrushstar.
"We shouldn't have to kill each other! We should be united together, not torn apart because of a small disruption by one cat!" Wildpaw shouted at the top of his lungs. Anger boiled inside him. Of course, his loyalty remained with Thrushstar and Shadowclan, but he didn't want to be in a clan that would be willing to kill cats... it was against the Warrior Code.
