Medicine Cat Meeting 2/8/16

It was a cold evening. A chilling wind swept through the rocks of the Highstones, sending chills down a certain Shadowclan medicine cat. She could deal with this. Tonight was important. She always liked coming together with the other medicine cats, and discussing things. It was always a nice time. The evening was clear, not a cloud in the sky. It would allow for a decent time returning home, and a nice time for a visit to the moonstone. The medicine cat glanced over to her apprentice. It wouldn't be long now until Silverpaw received her full name.

Silverpaw clumsily trotted behind her mentor, trying her best to keep herself together. She stumbled and eventually made her way to Dawnflower, a half-smile on her face. She was a rather clumsy she-cat, but she managed to keep the den clean and organized. She awaited the others to join them on that brisk evening.

Oceanpaw followed. She sat down when she made it to Highstones. "Greetings, Dawnflower, Silverpaw." she greeted.

Dreamleaf made her way up to the other Medicine Cats. Her head was a bit lower than she usually held it but she still had a confidence in her eyes. The calico she-cat stopped near the group of Medicine Cats and dipped her head.
"Greetings, Silverpaw, Dawnflower, Oceanpaw," she acknowledged.

Emberleaf padded through the cold, thick darkness until he reached the mouth of the cave which lead to the Moonstone. "Hello, everyone," the tom purred as he flicked his fluffy ginger tail. The medicine cat's pelt color stuck out in the dark like a sore thumb.

Gorsefeather followed behind his apprentice, the tom looking mildly unimpressed at the turn out. Where was RiverClan? Did anyone bother to check if Duskpaw knew the way? After all, he'd just recently been abandoned by his own mentor. The only reason Gorsefeather didn't bother was due to how antagonistic RiverClan and WindClan were right now. "Where's Acornheather?" He asked Oceanpaw.

Oceanpaw shrugged. "Acornheather didn't come to the last medicine cat meeting either. Maybe she'll come soon." she mewed.

Dreamleaf settled down and looked at the stars and moon. Her amber eyes flicked over to Oceanpaw and she frowned.
"Is Acornheather okay, Oceanpaw?" Dreamleaf asked with obvious concern. She truly hadn't seen the Skyclan Medicine Cat lately.

"I don't know, I haven't seen her in a while. I'm sure she's fine." Oceanpaw replied. The only training she got was treating her clan-mates by herself.

Dreamleaf gave the Medicine Cat Apprentice a long look before gazing at the mouth of the cave. Dreamleaf sat down, awaiting one of the older Medicine Cat's words to say it was time to go in.

"We'll head in now then." Gorsefeather lead the way, being the eldest in this meeting now that Nightfire had left the path of a medicine cat to be a warrior. He set the pace, walking calmly and leading them all down to Moonstone. Another time, he would have been interested to hear from StarClan about their opinions on the recent happenings, but with Falconstar's health deteriorating, he was hoping to get advice from Cloudpatches and Suntail. No amount of berries and herbs were fixing his cough.

When they reached Moonstone, he paused to allow everyone to take their places before settling down to press his nose against the smooth stone.

OOC: This would probably be a good time to have a prophecy about Dark Forest. For consistency, we're all going to dream about, sitting in a forest of some sort and the branches of the covering the stars, or have StarClan directly tell you, "Beware,_______. Those who stray from the path of the stars, risk being swallowed by the darkness." Pick one. You're welcome to just chat with StarClan as well, but remember to put in a prophecy.

Emberleaf stood up and followed Gorsefeather into the cave. He always had a spooky feeling every time he went in, but he enjoyed it somehow. His pawsteps echoed against the narrow tunnel walls as he crawled toward the moonstone. The ginger tom entered into the room with the glowing stone and he took position around it, then waited for everyone else to do so.

Silverpaw nodded and calmly, slowly padded inside, though her worries still existent. Okay. As always, it's just Starclan. They're here for you and everyone. You're okay. This is good. Silverpaw eventually approached the moonstone, pressing her nose against it and relaxing herself. It's gentle gleam in the darkness calmed her, feeling as if she was... Protected. She patiently waited for the others to join.

Danwflower followed the others into the chamber, not even flinching at the darkness this time. It no longer effected her. Soon enough they reached the chamber, and the familiar soft light met her eyes, and the beautiful stone soon took her gaze. She waited on the others to join before she went to the stone.

Dreamleaf padded in as the group made their way to the cavern where they would converse with Starclan. Dreamleaf settled down beside Dawnflower and readied herself for the journey with her ancestors.
