An EYE OPENING topic ;)

Snowstorm laid next to her kits, Ghostkit, Silverkit, and Blackkit. It's been a week, and their eyes didn't open yet. She wrapped her tail to comfort her kits.

Ghostkit wiggled around, yawned and then opened her eyes to reveal, light green eyes like her father. She blinked and looked around her eyes wide at the big world.

A loud mew escaped Silverkit's mouth as the tail of her mother was wrapped around her and her siblings. She blinked open her eyes, for the first time, and squinted until her vision adjusted. Her eyelids opened to reveal bright, icy blue eyes. The silver tabby glanced up at the big white cat who was her mother, and she purred at the sight of her. "M...o...mom," she stammered, her voice a bit quivery because of it's first use.

Last to be born, last to have his eyes open. That's how it was for Blackkit; last, last, last, always last. He had amber eyes from his mother, but his eyes were much darker and very round. The orbs of orange first landed on Silverkit, his litter mate. She looked thin and agile, and the beginning of a smile was put onto his face at the sight of her. His eyes then went to his other sister, Ghostkit. The hints of a smile was still on his face, then he looked up at his pure white mother, and the start of a smile became an actual smile. Silverkit was the first to speak, and Blackkit noticed that she seemed to be competitive and wanted to be first. So far, Blackkit had been last, so he decided to change things a bit. When he first tried to speak, only a squeal came out, but then he was able to talk. "Mo...th...moth...mother," he stammered. His smile grew bigger. He was the second to speak.

Crowlfight poked his head into the nursery to check on his mate, when he noticed that the kits were looking around and speaking. He let out a small purr, and then looked at his mate. "How are you doing, Snowstorm? I hope they aren't giving you too much trouble." He said squeezing the rest of the way into the nursery. He had a break so why not visit his family.

He got settled, so that way he wouldn't be stepping on anyone's tail. "Hello, my little kits." He purred. He looked back up at his mate. "They all have beautiful eyes." He said.

ooc: Due to Windclan taking over Skyclan camp, Skyclan is take refuge with Riverclan so Skyclan is bound to post in Riverclan areas. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Snowstorm smiled and nodded. "They do, Crowflight." she purred. She thought with the mention of names, their kits would learn their names.

Ghostkit tilted her head. "Mommy? Daddy?" She meowed looking at her pure white mother, and then her fluffy black father. She blinked her light green eyes.

Snowstorm smiled and nodded at Ghostkit. "Welcome to the clan." she purred.

Ghostkit from tilted her silver head and blinked her light green eyes. Whats a clan? The silver tabby thought, flicking her ear and then licking paw and drawing it over her ear a few times. "C-clan? What that?" She meowed, being curious for the first time in her life.

"W...what is sur...surviving?" Asked the second youngest as she gazed up at her father, then mother. Her silver tail curled around herself as she pressed closer to her mom for warmth.

Blackkit saw that his sister was cold, so he moved closer to and pressed against Silverkit to share warmth. All of the words being put into is head was overwhelming, and all he wanted to do was curl up and go back to sleep.

How can Snowstorm explain what surviving is? "Well, surviving is just staying alive." she attempted to explain. She could see her kits were cold. Their fur barely started growing.

Crowflight just sat back and watched his kits. They were so curious about everything. "They are full of so many questions." He said with a slight purr. None of them were like him when he was a kit, which was a bit of a relief.

Snowstorm smiled. "They are." she purred.
