Elkkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Breezestar stepped into the middle of the clearing. "Let all cats of SkyClan old enough to catch their own prey gather around for a clan meeting!"

All we need is another apprentice

Snowstorm walked over to the clearing.

ElkKit gathered himself up from his stretch, and headed towards the clan meeting. He knew he would become an apprentice today, and this filled his mind with anxiety. But the closer he got to the ring of cats the more these thoughts ebbed away.

Whitepaw padded over to where Breezestar was. Another apprentice she thought.

Mapledrop padded over and  sat behind her son. She started to groom her son's pelt an purred.

Sandfeather padded after Mapledrop. She sat beside the red warrior and looked at Elkkit then at Mapledrop.
"Exciting isn't it? I love seeing new apprentices!" Sandfeather exclaimed.

When they all gathered, he spoke on. "Elkkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it's time you were apprenticed." He meowed. "From this day forth, until you have received your warrior name, you will be known as Elkpaw. Snowstorm will be your mentor."

Snowstorm felt happy. Wow! An apprentice already! she thought excitingly. She walked over to Elkpaw and touched noses with him.

Elkpaw was so excited he could hardly stop himself from shaking while touching noses with his new mentor.
