Featherkit, Lilackit, & Rainkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath High Rock for a clan meeting!" Duskfall yowled from a tree stump just outside the stony hollow. It was the first ceremony at their new camp, and as always it was a joyous occasion offering hope and peace for a new bright future. And to make things better, the kits who were to be apprentices were his own, his precious three. Just thinking about them filled him with pride, each of them were precious to him and to see them grow up, it meant everything. He'd missed having kits of his own to dote upon in the camp.

Darkflight poked her head out of the hollow-hole, curious as to what was going on. Ohhh, an apprentice ceremony! The deep brown she-cat hopped out of the hole to sit below the stump, excited for the to-be apprentices.

Lilackit came out and fell on her face ;w;

IM LAZY TONIGHT PLEAASE FORGIVE ME

Rainkit followed behind his sister, licking his chest fur down and flashing Lilackit a cocky grin. He was determined to become the best warrior ThunderClan would see, even if it meant knocking his sisters down on the way.

Featherkit followed behind the brother calmly, looking around at the gathered warriors with curiosity and awe, would one of them be her mentor? She was eager to find out. The silver tabby couldn't help a skip of excitement just before she sat down, accidentally knocking into Rainkit. "Oops. Sorry." She meowed softly, before she looked up to her father along with her siblings for the ceremony to begin.

"Featherkit, Lilackit, and Rainkit, step forward." The deputy meowed, looking down at the gathered warriors and apprentices. He looked upon them fondly, seeing the eagerness and excitement across the clan. The brown tom gave the kits a moment to compose themselves and come up to him, before the ceremony continued. "Featherkit, Lilackit, and Rainkit, you've all reached the age of six moons, and it's time for you all to be apprenticed. From this day onwards until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Featherpaw, Lilacpaw, and Rainpaw. Your mentors will be Robinflight, Darkflight, and Beanfoot, respectively. I trust every one of these cats to serve as fine mentors to you. May StarClan guide your paths."

The lame warrior's ears perked in surprise. It hadn't been long since her warrior ceremony, so it was unexpected that she'd be given an apprentice. Darkflight grinned at her new apprentice, Lilacpaw, and meowed cheerfully, "How does a patrol tomorrow sound?"

Robinflight stared bleakly at Duskfall. Was he serious? Didn't he know that none of her apprentices ever survived to become warriors? The other mentors, Darkflight and Beanfoot, were once denmates of her last apprentice. She winced at the sight of Featherpaw. That was Duskfall's own kit; surely he was better off assigning a mentor who could at least keep their apprentice alive. Reluctantly, the calico she-cat stepped forward. The touch of noses was brief and impersonal. "I guess I'll see you early tomorrow." Was all she could manage to say without recalling past ceremonies.
