Playful Kits

Sugarkit looked at Featherpaw, she nodded, she then turned her attention towards Troutstep she took the moss ball, tossing it between her paws, before passing it to Troutstep.

Specklekit smiled at her newfound friend. But she whimpered as yet another cat joined, and she backed away further. She didn't like being in a large crowd, and so, she hid most of her body under two dead leaves.

Sugarkit noticed Specklekit got nervous at the new cat, she put a her paw on her shoulder, "Don't worry, there's no reason to be nervous" she said, smiling at her.

Troutstep stopped the ball from rolling with his big paw. "So you just pass it back and forth?" He asked, somewhat curious. He glanced over at Specklekit and his ears lay flat. Kits. Always so nervous.

Sugarkit looked back at Troutstep, "We pass it to each other, like catch." she purred.

I feel bad. Maybe I should leave. "Sounds fun!" Said Featherpaw. No, I shouldn't. Should I?

Specklekit smiled, and attempted to toss the mossball back to her newly found friend, Sugarkit. Though she successfully made the hit, she had fallen onto her face because she pushed too hard. She mewled for a second before slowly getting up.

" Specklekit are you ok?!" Featherpaw asked with shock

Sugarkit caught the moss ball, she was surprised to see her friend fall down, "Are you okay?" She asked, her expression changed to concern.

"Yes!" She squeaked, jumping to her paws, grabbing the mossball and tossing it to Featherpaw, al while keeping an awkward "straight-lined" mouth expression.

Sootkit hopped over. "Can I play too??" He squeaked.

Troutstep could help but chuckled at the all of the kit's innocence. "Sure, why don't you join us?" The tom batted the ball towards Sootkit.

Whitefoot the ginger and white tom padded into the clearing, surprised to see his silent and reserved brother playing with kits. What's this? He would barely play with my brood! Purring mischievously he swatted at his brother. "Troutstep! Becoming soft or trying to impress the she-cats?" He teased. Sidestepping the moss ball as not to disturb the game, he sat on the edge out of the way and watched intently. His own brood, were all apprentices. Sunpaw, Fallenpaw, and Halfpaw. Is Troutstep finally settling down?

Specklekit squealed in fright as even more cats crowded around her. She squealed once more and ran to a large rock, hiding behind it. She curled her tail around herself and let out a few mews of fear and anxiety from time to time. She did not like this at all! The tiny she-kit didn't like large crowds... Especially involving big cats!

Firepaw watched from a distance. She smiled slightly and she soon got up and made her way over.
