Playful Kits

Sugarkit ran outside the nursery, the sunlight shinning in her eyes, a smile placed on her face as she ran around the camp, her running came to a halt, as she picked up a moss ball. She tossed the moss ball between her paws, back and forth.

The quiet and reserved she-cat, Specklekit, quickly padded over. "Hi." She mewed, scanning the mossball. She had been just born the other day, so she only knew a few words: Hi, How are you, Good, Bad, Why?, and Bye-Bye. She sat.

Troutstep sat a few lengths away from the kits, watching them play. So innocent. He thought, a small drop of sorrow clung onto him. Will I ever get a mate? No, I don't deserve a mate. He gave a sigh. But even I don't want to be alone for the rest of my life.

The white kit responded with a warm smile, "Hi" she purred, the kit tossed the moss one more time before setting it down in front of Specklekit. "Do you want to play with me? She asked, turning her attention fully on her.

"Uhm.... Good?" She asked, trying to find a sufficient answer. After all, she only knew a few words. The wide-eyed she-cat started at the moss ball before eyeing the other cat. Her ears perked and she flicked her tail. She stared at the moss ball again. She tried to trace back to some words her mother said... And then she remembered the right words. "Uh.... Yes!" She said, finding the word finally.

Sugarkit smiled, she took the moss ball tossing it in the air, "like this" she meowed, tossing the ball back at her, she purred with a warm smile.

OOC: Shortness

Specklekit smiled, teeth showing. She was very excited. The tiny kitten squealed, took the ball and tossed it in the air. As it landed back down, she batted at it before tossing it back to Sugarkit.

The white kit smiled, laughing abit as she watched the younger kit play, she tossed the moss back and forth between her paws, before passing it back to Specklekit, " What's you're name? " She asked, her voice high and squeaky.

Troutstep gave a sigh and walked over to the kits. He hoped he wouldn't scare them, for he did have a reputation of disliking kits throughout the clan. "Uh, hello kits. What are you guys playing?" The tom sat down.

"Specklekit," She mewed in reply to her denmates question. At the site of Troutstep, she shyly backed away a bit. "Uh..." She did not have a way to respond since she wasn't sure. Anxiety ran through her fur as she searched for an answer, but her limited vocabulary provided her with none. She hoped Sugarkit had an answer.

Sugarkit smiled at Specklekit," Pretty name." she purred, she turned her attention towards Troutstep "Moss ball" she answered, "Want to join?" She asked, passing the ball towards his paws.

She smiled, unknowingly being rude without thanking her. "Uh, you name...?" She asked, trying to find her name.

Sugarkit looked back at Specklekit, she put her paw on her chest, "Sugarkit" she meowed, she smiled, showing her small fangs.

Featherpaw walked out of the apprentices den, Kits are so cute! she thought to herself. she sat in front of the apprentices den and watched the kits. she licked her paw, she felt so lonely because her sister wasn't with her any more. She walked over to the kits "May i join?" she asked them

Troutstep was really surprised she asked him to play. "Uh, sure. How do...uh, you play?" He asked, ashamed he never really played mossball as a kit.
