"Mhm. Okay, lets go." The tom chuckled, though he was somewhat angry at his brother for finding his mother.

Whitefoot stood, purring even though he sensed tension from his brothers pelt.

"Can't wait to get back to camp." he said teasingly.

Whitefoot's ears perked up, "Race?" He mewed excitedly, hoping to run off some of the tension.

"Nah. I need to save my energy for more important things." He said coolly.

Whitefoot scoffed, "For what? Finding a mate suitable for you?" Surpressing a mrrow of laughter he swatted at his brother mid-step.

Troutstep thought for a moment. "Ya, actually. I should probably do that."

Whitefoot nudged his brother, "Yeah! By the time you have kits my brood can train them!" He purred. Slowing his walk, "Any she-cat in mind?" He purred teasingly, glad the two littermates had a chance to just be brothers with no worries for a little while.

Whitefoot stopped midstep, fluffing out his fur defensively. "You like my daughter!?" His amber eyes grew wide in shock.

Troutstep stopped mid track. Ug, mousebrain! She's his daughter. Why did you tell him?" "Don't get your fur all bunched up. I only said she was nice. Not like I was committing to anything..." He said coolly, though he actually had deeper feelings for her.

Whitefoot glared at his younger brother, anger welling up inside of him. He could easily see through his brother's lies, How can my brother love my daughter? Slipping out his claws he growled and leapt at his brother, pinning him. "I don't care if you love her, she's my precious special bundle. Don't you dare hurt her more than she's already hurting!" He spat, standing up and turning he padded away angrily.

Troutstep was soon on the ground, but got up when Whitefoot padded away. Wha...What just happened? All I said was that she was nice! Geez. The tom shook his pelt. He was surprised a day so good could turn so bad, so fast. Hmph. It's not like I want you deformed daughter as a mater anyway. he though, though part of it was a lie.
