Brotherly love~

Whitefoot woke early that particularly warm morning, How odd! It's the middle of leaf-fall and it's warm! Sitting up he nudged his sleeping brother in the next nest over excitedly, kit-like. "Troutstep wake up! Let's go swimming! Last tom to the river is a lazy kittypet!." He mewed already imagining the day ahead for the brothers.

Troutstep woke to his brothers voice. Realizing it was a playful tone, he got up with a jolt. "Ha! I'm defiantly the fastest cat in RiverClan." he usually wasn't playful, but it was probably good for him to forget about family problems for a day. He raced past his brother towards the river.

Neck and neck they ran, Whitefoot managed to get a paw ahead. Just in time! There's the river! Pinning his ears he strode on, not slowing as he approached the river but instead jumped right in at full speed. Swimming to the surface he mewed for his brother, "Who Won?" He didn't care who won, as long as they both had a nice day together,.

"Yup, it was defiantly me." Troutstep laughed leaping into the water.

OOC~ Nuuuu! I had a ton to do around the house

Whitefoot slammed his paw on the waters surface, sending a cascade of water down onto his brother. "I doubt you could outrun me!" He yowled with a purr.

Troutstep slipped under the water after Whitefoot splashed him. Unlike other cats, he was able to hold his breathe longer underwater, which gave him an advantage. He swam under his brother, the rocks tickled his pads. Running out of breathe, he shot out of the water right in front of Whitefoot.

Whitefoot gave a startled yowl as his brother appeared before him so suddenly, growling he lurched forward and tackled his brother. Since he had no Riverclan bloodlines his body type wasn't very well suited to swimming, it wasn't his strong point. So as he tugged on his brothers ear he held on firmly as they had done when they were merely paws'. He knew his brother wouldn't let him drown.

Troutstep knew his brother well, a little to well. He let up the weight he put on Whitefoot and swam up to the river bank. He shook some of the water out of his fur and sat down. "So Whitefoot. What did you really bring me here for? I know it's not just to play and swim."

Whitefoot groaned as he clambered out of the river and sat besides his brother, shaking his fur he sent a spray of water onto his littermate. He casually began grooming his now spiky fur, pausing in between licks. "I wanted to tell you about my real mother." He mewed calmly, although inside he was nervous at how he'd react.

Troutstep's ears fell back when his brother told him. "Well, I bet she is at least better than Salmonstripe." he sighed.

Whitefoot exhaled, "I met her two sunrises ago on patrol, I thought she was just some rouge. But she said she came looking for a kit she'd lost many moons ago. She had more kits but she was taking them out of Thunderclan to twoleg place to their father, my father, Mittens. But one, a ginger and white tom, was caught in the river and washed away." He mewed softly.

Troutstep gave a sigh. "So is this gonna end up like the Elder's stories? Were you find your long lost someone and you leave your family to live with them?"

Whitefoot snorted, "I'm loyal to Riverclan, and I plan on staying here for a long long time Troutstep." He mewed as he nudged his brother.

"You better. Or I'm gonna be stuck with you know who. I might just jump of the gorge." he chuckled.

Whitefoot swatted at his brother, purring. "I wouldn't leave you alone with you know who! I have no doubt about it. Ready to head back?" He mewed.
