The Spirit Tiger's Thunder at Dusk

Tigerkit was a mostly white she cat with brown on the top of her head and back with dark brown/black stripes, with light green eyes. She was carried by her foster mother Spirit. "Where are we going Mama?" The kit mewled to her. She was only four weeks old and much to young to remember anything. like the fact that her mother died giving birth to her. She did however remember she had a brother and a sister. "Mama? Where are Blaze and Crimson?" The tabby meowed. But then she heard another set of paw steps and grew quiet.

"They at home sweetheart " Spirit mewed as she carried the young kit.

"Why Mama? where are you taking me?" The young kit mewled.

"Coalspirit? Who's this?" Duskfall asked as he slinked through the undergrowth, he'd followed what seemed to be his daughter's scent through the forest. He hadn't been expecting her, and half thought it was an old scent. It was sheer dumb luck that he decided it was worth exploring.

"This is Tigerkit...."She mewed looking to her father quietly " she is the kit of a dead queen in my group....her dying wish was for Tigerkit to be in Thunderclan. I am only doing so because I want to respect her dying wish."She mewed turning to look at her father.

Silverkit lay outside the nursery, quietly observing the situation. A new kit! She thought in happiness. Finally, someone to play with around here! She quickly jumped up, full of energy, but then remembered that she shouldn't disturb the warriors when they're speaking. Silverkit, laughing to herself, slowly laid back down, and watched the cats around her.

"A dying wish or not, that's a rogue's kit. It has no place amongst our kin. Spottedstar was reluctant enough to allow your kits, I cannot see why they should be allowed into our clan. Why is it that this she-cat wants her she-kit to be raised amongst us?" Duskfall asked, his eyes not seeing little Tigerkit, but instead his sons, Redpaw and Soaringwing. He saw his past mistakes, his failures. And he had no intention of repeating them. Perhaps this was just how it was. That rogues could never be true clan cats, they could never respect the code and see the will of StarClan like a clanborn cat could.

Spirit was quiet for a long moment " I am not sure....I was never able to ask her why... she died giving birth but she was a brave she cat I trained her myself I would know.... 'm sorry I just can't give you a reason why because I don't know Cloud ' s reasons."She mewed quietly her tail flicking lowly before she gently placed Tigerkit at her paws.

Silverkit, her tail flicking in excitement, looked at the new kit. Her white and brown fur was beautiful. Her paws were as small as mice. Her eyes shone as bright as moons. I can't wait to play with her! Silverkit thought to herself.

Tigerkit looked up at Duskfall her light green eyes were die when she saw how bit this cat was compared to her. "Hewo! Im Tigerkit! Whats your mane?" The kit asked the brown tom.

"This will be the last kit we will take from your... group. Leafbare is coming, and we can hardly afford to take in every kit that's abandoned by their parents." Duskfall sighed, looking up at the canopy to see the overcast skies that had become the norm with Leaf-fall. Prey was becoming more and more scarce and this was hardly the time for them to be taking in kits. But one more, one last kit. That his conscience could bear. Perhaps Tigerkit would be different. "Tigerkit, from now on and until the day you die, you will be a ThunderClanner. Should I ever suspect that you're not, there will be consequences. Do you understand?"

Tigerkit looked up at him with wide green eyes and nodded, she was usually bright for such a young kit. "Yes swir. Will you bee my Daddy?" The white cat meowed fluffing up her fur so that the brown looks like dirt settling on snow.She stumbled over to the Thunderclan deputy and snuggled up against his legs.

Duskfall nearly leap back alarmed at the kit's sudden approach and the way she pressed against his forelegs. The deputy hadn't been expecting this, and it was all too clear in the way his tensed and carefully extracted himself away from Tigerkit. His white paws gently nudging the kit a respectable distance away. "A queen will look after you. I am Duskfall, the deputy of ThunderClan. I do not have time or the proper skills to raise one as young as you."

"Coalspirit, I'll take her with me. I would like to see you again. Perhaps after the gathering? I trust you can find your way there next full moon?" He asked, dipping his head to pick up the she-kit gently by the scruff.

"After the gathering. ....I'll try I still remember I just don't know how welcomed I'll be " She mewed quietly her tail flicking quietly.
