Daisykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Falconstar bounded to the top of the Tallrock and called out, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Daisykit, the pretty little she-kit, pranced out of the nursery, her blue eyes shimmering with excitement. She purred as she approached the Tall Rock, staring up at the old, wise leader. She was a little upset that her apprenticeship would start before her siblings, but they would join her one day. She let out a tiny mew and took her seat beneath Falconstar.

Lightfoot looked lovingly upon his eldest daughter from his place near the fresh-kill pile. It was truly a shame his other kits would not be receiving their new names this day, but that would come later. All four of them showed signs of being healthy and strong, and he was positive they'd make great warriors. He only hoped he himself was doing well as a father.

Falconstar smiled when Daisykit made her way into the clearing, and soon he began the ages-old speech. "Daisykit, you have reached the age of apprenticeship, and you are ready to take on the duties of one. From now until you're ready to become a warrior, you will be known as Daisypaw. Eaglethorn will be your mentor." If only her littermates had posted ever.

The new apprentice squeaked with happiness, purring at the sight of her father and the name of her new mentor. Eaglethorn was well respected, strong, wise tom. She knew he would be a good mentor for her. "I'll be the best apprentice ever!" she mewed excitedly to the brown tom.
