Burn's death

Burn traveled through the grounds. He jumped on a tree, but the branches gave under his weight.
He yelped as he fell, and a large crack sounded, as he broke his neck. He stared limply ahead.

Moonlight padded after his friend but fell behind to collect some herbs. When he had caught up he heard the a sickening crack and a dull thud and then he saw Burn. "Burn!!! Oh Burn don't die to!!!" The white cat with silver paws wailed. He lashed his tail grabbing him by the scruff and lifting him onto his back and then grabbed the bundle of herbs. He padded back to camp with Burn on his back and his silver tipped tail trailing in the dust.

Storm finished prowling through the prey pile, I'll have to go hunting later, he thought glancing at the pitiful pile. Looking up to greet his son he was shocked to see him dragging Burn. Rushing forward he helped carry the dead weight. As he carried him he realized, He really is dead weight. Heart wrenching when he placed his apprentice on the ground he noticed the odd angle his neck was in and the dull lifeless glaze in his eyes.
