Dusk can't live when the sun burns through (OPEN DEATH TOPIC)

Duskpaw sat at the water's edge, waiting impatiently for a fish to come. "How long will this take?" he groaned, "It isn't like the river's polluted or something." His tail lashed, and his neck fur prickled. 'Come on!' he thought.  The sun was burning hot, and it stung his back. Suddenly a glimpse of a scaly figure flashed through the water, and he jumped. But just as his paw was raised to scoop it out of the water, the sun's rays shone in his eyes, and instead he went tumbling into the murky depths below. He would have been able to swim, but the cold murky waters seeped into his eyes, and he went tumbling down the river. He thrashed around, desperately trying to swim up to the surface, but a hard hit from an underwater rock sliced a deep gash into the back of his head and knocked him out. Clouds of the crimson fluid rose up into the river, turning it red. He washed up on the shore of Sunningrocks, completely limp, soaked and bleeding out. His eyes were glazed over and wide open, and an expression of terror was set on his face.
