The young tom took a deep breath and began, "Medicine cat's are cats that heal members of their clans that are sick and wounded, they also help with births. Elders are cats that are too old to hunt, fight, and have kits. So they move to a new den where the younger warriors take care of them as appreciation for all they have done. All apprentices learn to hunt for food, so yes. And a clan meeting is where the leader calls all of the members of the clan together to talk about something important." He mewed with a flick of his tail.

Toadkit laughed hysterically after the apprentice spoke, didn't he understand? He already knew what all of those were! Well except for the medicine cat, that was new. He drew his laughing into a giggle as he lowered himself down to the ground in what he thought was a hunting pose. His back archeds high in the air. "You mean old cats and leader talking's? I know what those are! You just say them funny. Why didn't you want to be a medicine cat? They sound important. You can't be a leader and a medicine cat at the same time, can you?" Toadkit lowered his voice into a whisper again, to prevent himself from yelling.

"No you can't" He mewed as he fixed the kitten into the proper hunting crouch.

OOC: Alright. Salmon is mentoring both of them.. I know their ceremony is unfinished but... Well, yeah.

IC: Growling briefly, she spat, "My name is Salmonstripe! You're Toadkit this is Whitepaw and this is Dewleaf!"

Dewleaf nudged Salmonstripe away, "Let Whitepaw handle this" She mewed pleased the apprentice had gotten over his rudeness, well at least for the time being.

Troutpaw finally woke up, being a heavy sleeper he didnt hear any of the comotion.

Toadkit frowned when he realized he couldn't be a medicine cat and a leader at the same time, they both sounded cool. Then his frown shortened. He could be an apprentice, then a warrior, then a leader! How cool would that be? SUPER COOL! He beamed at his own intelligence, then was readjusted by Whitepaw.

"Thanks! Now I know how to hunt." After he whispered his thanks, he began to waddle to the fresh-kill pile, keeping his forum. As he waddled along, he didn't sense Stripe in front of him. Toadkit in surprise when he hit the she-cat in the paws. "Hi Stri-" He fluffed out his short fur as the endless ranting began. His ears pushed against his head to avoid shouting. "I-I was just trying to be cool.. why do you not like it?" He took a cautious step back. Then he ran into another giant cat! He whipped around, to discover a cat who was similar in age to Whitepaw. (if Troutpaw can out of the den) "WHO are you?" in all his confusion, he had almost forgotten his promise, almost.

"My name is Salmonstripe, not Stripe or Salmon. This is my other son, Troutpaw; And, hunting is much more complicated. The leader is Fishstar, medicine cat is Sparrowleaf, and deputy Mistfeather." She explained, trying to devolp a calmer, softer tone.

Toadkit narrowed his eyes briefly when the apprentice didn't answer him. Then he thought the problem through. He is probably shy, when you are shy you are afraid to talk. That is probably the situation here! I just need to worm the cat out of his shyness! proud of himself, Toadkit opened his mouth to speak.

Then was rudely interrupted by Stripe. He sat down calmly, and cocked his head after she spoke. He let a moment of silence engage the conversation. "Okay, Salmonstripe. But what is a deputy? Is it a warrior like you?" He widened his eyes excitedly. There were more ranks! How exciting!

Troutpaw, sitting in a tired way looked towards toadkit and gave him a glare. "Ya, what Salmonstripe said. And you are reeeeaaaly annoying." he hissed at the kit who was staring at him weird.

Whitepaw flicked his tail in a silent agreement, although a little annoyed at his brother himself for being so bold to a kit. It's true though.. Flicking his ears he went inside of his den for a nap and to get away from the commotion. He'd had enough of talking for today.
