Sibling rivalry (closed)

A long furred tabby she-kit sat by the nursery, silently grooming her fur. She was about apprentice age now and her faint Thunderclan scent was completely gone. She had a big and strong build; the makings of a fine warrior some day. Raccoonkit was bigger then most of the kits her age, but she was definately the quietest. She preffered to keep her mouth shut and let others talk while she listened...it was a great way to learn. Her ears twitched as the sound of small pawsteps came behind her...it was that of a kit's. The dreaded smell of her adpoted brother filled the she-kit's nose as she ignored him and continued to groom herself.

Whitekit stuck his tail in the air and kept his chin up as he trotted by his "sister", his belly rumbled as he had planned to go to the fresh-kill pile and try something new.

Raccoonkit's watchful yellow eyes glared at the younger kit. She stared as he snobily walked past her and the she-cat felt a sudden urge to swat his tail...she couldn't help herself! With claws in, she whacked his it with her paw, then stood up and trotted away, her bushy tail held high in the air. She found a shady spot under a scrawny tree at the edge of camp and sat down, staring at Whitekit.

Whitekit jumped and hissed at her as she walked away. "Rude much?" He yowled at her as she sat smugly glaring at him.

Racconkit's eyes spoke all that needed to be said. They showed despise and anger towards the tom kit and a hint of jealousy because Dewleaf obviously liked him more then her. She laid down and huffed, staring at the freshkill pile with hunger. She was too stubborn to get up and leave her nice spot in fear of her stupid adopted brother taking it.

Whitekit growled at her and went to the pile, grabbing a smaller salmon he crouched down and began eating. Glaring at her the entire time, What's her problem with me?

Roaccoonkit narrowed her eyes and slowly crawled forward slightly, then bounded to the pile, picked up a little trout, and raced back to her spot. She sat down and took a big bite, disliking the slimy taste a bit. She preferred land creatures better, but this would have to do.

Whitekit scarfed down his salmon and smirked at her.

Raccoonkit, seeing that Whitekit had finished his food, scarfed down her own fish then smirked at the tom. She kind of wished that he would say something to her, but the other half was relieved that he wasn't bothering her. The tabby gnawed on a bone from the trout, using it to sharpen her teeth.

Whitekit flicked his tail and left in search of Dewleaf, "Her company is way better than a quiet dormouse!" He mumbled, barely loud enough for his adopted sister.

Raccoonkit hissed, picking up some of Whitekit's sentance. He just called me a dormouse! Standing up, Raccoonkit flicked her tail and twitched her ears and spoke for the first time in a while. "Where are ya goin, Whitekit? Are you running away to Dewleaf like a little baby? Is the little kitten scared?" she spat sarcastically, eyes narrowing before she sat back down and continued to gnaw on the bone.

Whitekit gave her a sideway glance, "At least she enjoys spending time with me" He mewed looking for her brother and "Mother".
