A Slow Recovery [yey]

Honeycloud stirred in her nest, blinking her eyes open slowly and glancing around. At one time, she would've expected the sounds and sights of sleeping warriors, but not then. She'd been held up in Ebonyleaf's den for the entire past moon. By now, she was used to the darkness and sharp stench of herbs, and was certain the scents of medicine had long since clung to her pelt.

She glanced at her leg. There was a still a gross looking bald-spot where that snake had bit her. It made her feel sick every time she looked at it, and she only wanted to go back to sleep. The young warrior laid her head back down, but it was too late. The medicine cat had already caught her awake.

"Go outside. Get something to eat." Ebonyleaf meowed, "You could use the fresh air." The tone in her voice told the tabby that it wasn't entirely a suggestion.

The she-cat held back a little whimper of complaint, pulling herself out of her nest and slowly creeping outside, a small limp still in her step. Her blue-green eyes traveled to the fresh-kill pile. Had anyone even brought food back yet?

The warrior had spent most of his time hunting now a days, but that was fine as long as he was helping his clan he was happy too do anything. A plump rabbit was held loosely in Jayclaw's jaw as he approached camp. His deep blue gaze flickering around the campsite a bit surprised too see his former apprentice finally out of the medicine cat's den. A small purr had rose from the old tom's neck as he slowly approached the warrior his blue eyes sparkling with delight as he dropped the plump rabbit in the fresh-kill pile.

Turning towards the ginger warrior, Jayclaw was glad that she was alright and had recovered - it took awhile but she was finally back onto her feet and finally outside.. His ear gave a slight flick, "Oh did Ebonyleaf kick you out of the den?" The grey warrior mused half-joking as he slightly nudged his old apprentice. "I'm glad you're recovering, it's good too see you out of the medicine den." The senior warrior had said with a grin, knowing that the snake bite was quite serious the warrior was lucky too be alive.

Blizzardsky was next to enter after a recent hunting patrol. No luck on his end, but he helped a fellow Clanmate carry their kill into camp; a toad. He half-heartedly tossed it aside into the fresh-kill pile before looking up to see Jayclaw approach the medicine den. The black and white warrior spotted Honeycloud, stiffly wandering. His mood grew more grim- not that he was in the best mood to begin with. He was there when the she-cat was attacked by a snake- the reason for her limp. He could've sworn she wasn't going to make it what with all of the Skype messages threatening to kill her off ;_;. Ebonyleaf was truly a good medicine cat.
