Some News . Is It Good or Bad (closed for Marcel)

Coalspirit had some news she couldn't wait to tell her mate. Though if it got out she could be in big trouble. Her ears laid flat at the thought for a moment before they perked as she heard Soaringwing. She smiled and padded over to him quickly.

"Coalspirit, why did you want me to come out into the territory for?" Soaringwing asked, licking her cheek as he came out from the undergrowth. "Is everything alright?"

Coalspirit purred softly before she looked at him with her icy blue eyes conflicted emotions sparkling in her eyes."Soaringwing. ...I.I'm fine but.. I'm .. I'm uh expecting kits " she mewed quietly.

For a moment, the tom could make out what Coalspirit had said, but then he realized it, his eyes widening. "Kits? Kits! Your gonna have kits! We are going to be parents! This is great, Coalspirit!" He purred and muzzled her flank with a smile.

Coalspirit purred some smiling a little " shh don't get too loud we don't want anyone else to hear " she mewed quietly purring softly.

Soaringwing nodded and quieted down some before the realization hit him. "Coalspirit, you can't go in the nursery or else everyone will know about them...where will you give birth to the kits and where will they live?" He asked worriedly. There wasn't a problem about cats finding out because of Coalspirit's bulge...that was well hidden because of her long fur. "And how will you do medicine cat duties if your expecting kits?"

Coalspirit was quiet " I've found a well hidden part of the territory I can give birth to the kits and it's sheltered enough that they won't be harmed. As for what I will do i...guess I'll still go about what I need to do with my medicine cat apprentice duties.."She mewed looking at him quietly.

Soaringwing nodded. "We can take turns watching the kits throughout the day once they are born and you can sleep with them, or we could take turns spending nights with them." He gave a sigh of relief. "This is going to be great, Coalspirit," he purred, licking her forehead.

"Maybe we could stay with them at night and take turns watching them trough the day?"she mewed.

"Yeah, good idea. I'll just tell anyone who asks where i've been that I went hunting." He smiled, but his heart sank when he remembered about Stormstrike. Earlier, she had been angry at him because he was always spending time with Coalspirit instead of her. Now, he was going to be spending far less time with her then already. Sorry Stormstrike, but you'll understand one day, when you have kits.

Coalspirit smiled and purred " ok so...I'll show you where the spot is "she mewed quietly.
