| Sandy padded outside of camp, sighing. She had no mate. As much as she loved Flames, he mated with Orbit. Pushing the thought away, she growled and found some Twoleg rubbish. She saw a mouse, seemingly in good condition. The hungry she-cat ate it, but instead felt ill. She fell to the ground, unable to get up. That poisoned me, I will find revenge... She thought, as her life slipped away.

| Orbit had saw sandy go out of camp and she hadn't come back yet. Worried, she searched for the deputy until she found her lying, dead. "Flames! she called tearfully.

| Storm had watched his mother leave camp, and like any curious kit, he had decided to follow her. I'm going to be the best spy! He purred following her scent, coming to a halt as he heard her yowl. His thick fur fluffed out he cleared his mind and raced to her aid, almost choking on his own fear scent. He rounded the corner and saw his mother, as well as the dead body of Sandy. He gave a wail of fear, eyes growing wide in shock. | Flames sprinted out of camp at the sharp yowl of Orbit. "What happened?" He cried, then he saw it. The BoneClan deputy. Worriedly, Flames padded over. "Orbit... Do you know what happened to her? You're the medicine cat..." He reminded his mate. Who will be the deputy now? The kits are too young, and Orbit is a medicine cat!

| Orbit shook her head. "Not yet. I can take her back to camp, though." She scanned around the body, for any signs of how the she-cat could have died. Then, her head stopped."Oh, no." She motioned towards a half eaten mouse. "Flames...Flames, I think she was poisoned." |

| Flames bounded over to the black she-cat. He had loved Sandy as the deputy, but now she was gone. He buried his muzzle into her fur, crying. He sniffed and turned to Storm. "Do you have anything to do with this?" He growled, but his sadness over came him. He buried his muzzle into Orbit once more, his crying turning into mourningful yowling.

| Orbit looked at Storm and gave him a melancholy smile. She whispered in flame's ear, "The kit had nothing to do with it. I'm so sorry Flames. Will you help me take her body to the camp?"
