It wasn't long after sunrise when Ashcloud dragged himself out of his nest and into the morning sun. The air was still cool and crisp from the night, and the white tom sat in a patch of sun to groom his fur. Content, he got up and made his way the the apprentice's den. "Come on, get up," he murmured to Willowpaw before going out of camp to sit in the marshy grass.

Willowpaw blinked her eyes open already. Her sleepiness suddenly left her as she ran out of the apprentice den and to her mentor, Ashcloud. "Hello Ashcloud." She mewed politely.

Ashcloud stood when he saw his apprentice approach. "Good Morning, Willowpaw," he responded. His tail twitched. "Hope you've slept well, today it's battle training."
