A great/bad opportunity [OPEN TO RC ONLY]

Sorrelheart stood on the edge of the river, waiting for a patrol or something to pass by and notice her. The warrior stood partial in the water, well at least her front paws. This was a chance she was taking, and if this didn't work out then she wouldn't have a home anymore because the warrior couldn't stand her own clan after what they had done. She wanted to get revenge, and she wanted to admit Thunderclan had been in the wrong. Attacking someone in their home because of one cat? That was a mouse-brained thing to do. She didn't like the idea of the battle specifically since it was Duskfall's idea. Oh how she hated him.. He took her mother's position when it was rightfully Flameclaw's. He also lead them into a pointless battle in Riverclan's camp just for what a piece of territory? Many cats got badly injured or worse even killed. Ugh she needed to leave and this was her chance. She made sure to go out when a Thunderclan patrol wasn't going to come by, she only hoped a Riverclan one was or some cat. She gazed a cross the river to the land that may bring her a chance.

ooc: This is for character development purposes, and to make things interesting between TC and RC, also I needed to do something with Sorrelheart. yaaaayyy, Don't get salty >.>

Fishstar stiffened as the scent hit her nose. It was heavy, earthy musk; a mixture of cedar, undergrowth and dirt. Unmistakingly ThunderClan. The hairs on the back of her neck prickled with hostility. A thick bundle of rushes stood between the RiverClan leader and the river, obscuring her view of whoever it was she was smelling. As quietly as she could, Fishstar crept into the rushes and peered through them, over at the opposite shore to her. There was only a a single cat--a warrior. She was standing with her forepaws in the water, surveying RiverClan's territory expectantly.

Her initial thought was that this cat was watching to see if any RiverClan cats were doing anything to prove that it had been one of them that had killed the ThunderClan apprentice, but there was no way that a ThunderClan cat would do that standing out in the open. What could she possibly want? Fishstar narrowed her eyes, and stepped out of the rushes. "Is there a reason you're standing there staring at my territory?"

The new voice startled and brought some slight joy to the Thunderclan warrior. Sorrelheart looked around until she saw the form of Fishstar, the very cat she wanted to see. She was a little confused by the leaders remark about the land thing because  until she remembered that she was staring at the territory. Sorrelheart wanted to stay on Fishstar's good side if she wanted even a slight hope of joining Riverclan.

"Do not worry.. I come in a peaceful manner, and I come alone." The orange and brown warrior stated her heart rate increasing as she said her words. "I came to ask you for something Fishstar, I am here to ask you if I can join your clan. Before you say no, I would like you to listen to my reasoning. I hate Thunderclan just as much as you do. The reason is because Thunderclan is corrupted. I never supported that mouse-brained battle they took to your camp. I didn't even participate. There was no reason, and it just hurt worse than what was gained. A warrior who was influenced by personal reasons planned and lead the first attack where your clan beat us. There was no need for another battle. If you may question my choice to join your clan, I will tell you the secrets I know of Thunderclan, and to prove my willingness to join your clan I will even help you gain sunning rocks back if you wish. They are rightfully Riverclan's after all." Sorrelheart said in a serious tone, hoping her words would influence the leader's choice. She let no emotion waver her voice, no matter how angry she was getting. She really hated Thunderclan, but for more reasons than she announced.

ic: Before Fishstar could speak, a white and brown tomcat stalked from the shadows of RiverClan's territory. "If there's one thing ThunderClan's good at, it's deceiving cats. But you're not fooling RiverClan." He crept next to his leader, eyeing her. "Fishstar, I know it's not my place, but do you honestly want to take in a ThunderClan cat? And, not only that, but a traitor of ThunderClan? Who's to say she won't turn her back on us?" The warrior, Patchface, turned away from Fishstar and stepped forward closer to Sorrelheart. He resented the thought of sharing a nest with this pathetic ThunderClan cat. "You have a lot of nerve showing up here. A real warrior would stay back with their Clan and help make it better. You just ran away from the problem at hand." he meowed, flicking his ear. He watched his leader from the corner of his eye. "Fishstar, you can't possibly be considering taking this cat, an enemy of RiverClan, into the heart of our camp? We have kits and loved ones there. You want to bring a ThunderClan cat into our home while we're sleeping? Who's to say she's not leading an ambush when we least expect it?" Satisfied at speaking his part, he backed away near the RiverClan leader, glaring at Sorrelheart. "I'd say we escort her back to her flea-ridden camp where she belongs."

"Look if I go back there, they will tear me to shreds. They killed one of my family members because she didn't believe in the fight that Thunderclan had brought to you. They are no better than a group of rogues at this point because they are all so blood thirsty. They are trying to find anyway to cause a war! You even saw Duskfall at the gathering! Why would I want to aid such monsters? I would rather give my loyalty to a clan who doesn't purposely cause a war because they are bored. Like I said before I wasn't even apart of the battle for sunning rocks. You don't have to trust me, but the words I'm speaking ring true. If I was trying to hurt you in anyway why would I be standing in the river where you could easily take me down? If there was an ambush trying to happen I would be taunting you and trying to get you on Thunderclan's side of the territory. Those mouse-brains wouldn't never put themselves in water unless they absolutely have to." Sorrelheart said. There was nothing more that she wanted than to join Riverclan. She was tired of being in a clan for of deceivers, and bloodthirsty warriors. That is not who she was.

Fishstar had been wordlessly observing Sorrelheart's claims and Patchface's rebuttal, mouth slightly agape as if she'd been going to say something. She closed her jaws again and clenched them. Ultimately, Patchface was right. Fishstar could not trust a ThunderClan cat as far as she could flick her tail--and that was not far at all. The forest rats had destroyed nearly all of the dens in her camp, laid three accusations of murder--all completely ludicrous and false--on RiverClan at the Gathering, and killed Nightpaw in cold blood. Perhaps the worst of all was that they'd had the gall to take pride in these savage acts and publicly humiliated RiverClan in front of all the Clans. Fishstar would never forget. Even before she went to sleep, she could feel the hatred burning in her heart, and she prayed that ThunderClan would soon know StarClan's justice.

But this was not something Fishstar had been prepared for. A ThunderClan cat desiring to leave their oh-so-glorious Clan was.. Unprecedented. Here she stood, openly admitting her Clan's immorality and claiming to hate them as much as RiverClan did. Fishstar glowered at the cat across the water. "I hope you understand how hard it is for me to just accept someone into the heart of my Clan who was aligned with my greatest enemy. Your Clanmates murdered one of our apprentices and ravaged out entire camp." The silver tabby's words were stony. "Even if your bold claims are true, how do I know that you won't sympathize with ThunderClan agin someday and share all of our weaknesses and secrets with them? How do I know that you haven't got warriors hiding around right now, waiting to ambush me?"

"After all I said they would attack me too if there were more warriors around . I'm here admitting they are wrong, and I would never sympathize with them again as long as Duskfall is in that deputy position. Even if he was gone Spottedstar let her clan fall apart, and its not the clan that I knew when I was a kit. I want a new start in a clan I know is a clan. Not just some band of rogues who are looking for a fight every second. I'm am completely serious about this. If was I am not then let Starclan curse me." Sorrelheart spoke clearly and truthfully. She only hoped that Fishstar would believe her. If not the Sorrelheart would turn into a rogue, and disappear from this area for good.

"Why RiverClan? You know we don't exactly, get along with ThunderClan, so why would we accept your likes into our clan?" Mistfeather hissed, emerging from the bushes as she spoke. She approached cautiously, pausing and standing tall beside her sister. Baring her teeth slightly, she continued. "If you really want to get away from those murders, ShadowClan or SkyClan would be much more forgiving, even if you didn't attack our camp in cold blood. But your clan still did. And what did you do? Sit by and watch them slaughter one of our apprentices," she paused, her anger ebbing away with ever word. As much as she understood this she-cat's need, there was no guarantee she would not slit their throats while they slept. The tabby's expression grew cold as she thought carefully over her next words. "I cannot trust your words, not when my Clan's safety is at risk. But it is not my decision to make," she meowed, her eyes traveling to look at Fishstar. Leaning in, she spoke quietly into the leader's ear.

"We cannot trust her, not until she proves that she will not betray us. Even so, I don't know how the clan would take it. Having a ThunderClan warrior around the kits would not go well with the queens."

"I objected to the battle. I didn't want them coming here, but I can see I am not wanted here.. So I will take my leave for now, but I will be back another day." Sorrelheart said before turning and running down river towards the twoleg place a ways away. She wasn't going to return to Thunderclan. Not while Starclan ruled the land.
