Those Kits Though [BIRTH TOPIC]

Whitefur felt rather warm as she somewhat rolled around the nursery. Her stomach had grown rather large within the past few moons, and it was about time that the kits were coming. Even as much as it hurt, it was time... Thankfully. Just about the whole clan knew that the deputy was the cultript for being the father, the amount of time the two having spent together somewhat amazing. But that wasn't the topic for right now, at the moment the she-cat was kitting.

"Rockfall! Someone!"

It was a little late to call for someone now, it seemed that the first kit was already there. A small tom with a badger-like appearance, Whitefur had almost jumped. But at the same time the black stripes within her fur had evidently passed onto him, which she saw nothing wrong with. As much as the pain did bother her... She would live. Nipping at the kits' birth sack and leading it to suckle, she could only think on how things might have been when she was born... Suddenly coming into a bright, cold world... It made her wonder. Her tongue instinctively started carrying over the kits' fur, to both help him start breathing and to warm his small body up.

Palepaw heard the cry from the nursery. He dreaded helping with expecting queens. He never knew how to calm them down. Snatching a stick and herbs in his jaws, he glanced around hopefully for Honeyleaf. He curled his fluffy white tail around his paws as he passed the stick to Whitefur. "Bite down on this, okay?" he said softly, pulling his ears back at her yowling. However, he was surprised at the arrival of a first kit. "I'll handle this," he began, allowing Rockfall to take over licking the kits.

The badger-looking kit shifted under the rough tongues with no doubt mild annoyance. He was unsure on what was going on - his little kit-mind only knowing that the tongues were a discomfort, that he wanted warmth, and was hungry but was what he to do? He knew only the basic that every kit wanted but unsure how to get it, and while he somewhat twisted under the care of the older cats, he was powerless to stop it all. The tongues however soon started to warm up his thin coat and his struggling started to cease but a small, somewhat weak meow escaped his small mouth. The warmth of the licks were not enough for him, he felt much softer furs brush against his thin coat. He wanted warmth from those coats, and all he then knew is that single wish; more warmth. Or to put in a more eloquent manner: he wanted to snuggle.

Good thing he was in camp during the right moments - Rockfall's head lifted from his paws as he heard a painful yowl coming from the nursery - the yowl had too belong to someone and it'd been whitefur, she's been expecting for a few moons now and he was excited for her truly. She'd make a beautiful humble mother, he didn't know how he had felt about being the father after all his deputy duties may end up taking all of his time and the last thing he wanted too do was neglect his kits.

The tom quickly stumbled forwards, quickly striding over towards the nursery his ears perking as he already spotted that one of the kit's had been out already, a stick firm in his mates mouth and Palepaw standing nearby. Was rockfall late? He didn't know that birth could happen so quickly - He quickly padded towards his mate giving her some reassuring gentle licks on her cheeks. Softly purring as his whiskers gently twitched the deputy didn't say anything but his eyes were full of love and emotion - this was the happiest day of his life - it was a happy day for all of skyclan the first kits of new-leaf. His yellow gaze quickly snapped up towards the white apprentice - Fallensnow's son. The deputy quickly nodded padding over and hunching down too lap at the small kit - the oldest one of the litter, he was beautiful having some of the looks of his mother. Rockfall gently blinked when the kit gave a weak mew - it was reassuring too hear the kit, it was alive that was for sure. After a few more laps too warm up the first born he nudged the kit towards his mothers belly.

Whitefur did her best to keep the little tom kit close to her as much as she could, the bundle of fur something she didn't want to loose. But when those rather uncomfortable pulsing pains came once more, she knew that there were a few more kits she'd be parenting. No matter... A single kit being all lonesome in the nursery wouldn't be very nice, now would it?

All light thoughts aside, the she-cat grunted as another kit was left in the wake of her body somewhat shaking voilently for a few moments. Repeating the process from before, she had been able to determine that the next of the kits was a girl.

Who had which, entered the world rather uncomfortably. She much preferred the warmth that came from the one cat she knew, and the rather freezing area around her weren't very nice. The tiny body was quite indeed shivering from the cold around her, and it was rather hard to do what her body was telling her to; breathe. There was something in the way of obtaining the crisp air that her tiny little body was so desperate for, and to say the least it was a relief when whatever it was that had been blocking her was suddenly gone. Mewling desprately, something warm seemed to move her over to an even greater source of warmth. This was something that she wanted... A lot. There was also something beside her, which no doubt felt warm as well. Helpless as she was, the kit was rather comfortable with once more being somewhat enveloped in a warmth.

Whitefur was somewhat panting at this point, right after her second kit had been born another seemed to be coming. Sure enough, a third kit was left to be warmed up. The she-cat had to muster up what seemed to be the last of her energy to get the last and seemingly final kitten breathing and close to her belly, and with the success that had Whitefur went to laying her head down, her tail somewhat curling over the three.

After dealing with the birth, Palepaw nodded in acknowledgement to his aunt, Whitefur for her successful litter. "They're beautiful," he purred, helping the process of licking the kittens.
