| It had been a perfect day for a nice long stroll. The half-blind she-cat had been wandering around river-clans territory, before having the idea too go visit the river. The forest was lively -- everything was lively during new-leaf, although she couldn't see much she could hear pretty well. Rainfall heard the distant birds chirp in the treetops and she also heard the distant roar of the powerful river nearby, the warrior trotted forwards her ears perked. She loved the river - it had been awhile since she saw it and that was because the snow had covered it up and putting a stop too it.
The river looked unstoppable - the way Rainfall looked at it was that since the river was unstoppable Riverclan was also unstoppable, it was so powerful.. just like their clan - riverclan was everything thanks too this river, you can tell because everything thrived besides it. Plants had already sprouted from the ground and started blossoming and prey ran from one side of the bush too the other retreating too the cover of more grass. Rainfall looked towards the river - blinking at it's crystal clear reflection a small purr rising from her throat. Her head whipped around at the sound of a loud snapping branch. "Whos there?" Rainfall hissed quickly looking back and forth. |

| Wailingstream had been chasing a water vole through the reeds, weaving past smooth stones and dashing over little streams with a swiftness that came from moons of practice. His every step placed him a little closer to the prize, his heavy grey paws barely touching the ground as he chased his prey. The water vole was a young and spry one with bright clear eyes, and it was doing it's best to escape. But the tom had the advantage of size that helped him cross great leaps, and with a final branch snapping pounce, he bit into the neck of the vole.
The thrill of the hunt however was interrupted when he heard Rainfall, a fellow clanmate call out in surprise at the sudden noise from his pounce.
"It's me, Rainfall. Sorry for frightening you." He mumbled through the water vole in his jaws as loud as he could. He stepped out the reeds, muzzle tinged red from blood. He approached her, detouring to the dirt bank to bury the water vole, before greeting her with a friendly purr. |

| Rainfall blinked at the large grey tom's arrival, the surprised look in his dark blue eyes had amused the beautiful she cat. Rainfall blinked herself - simply shaking her head as if she didn't mind of his little mistake. "It's fine Wailingstream~" She purred her light green-yellow eye shining as she returned her gaze towards the roaring river. "Hope I didn't disturb your hunt." |

| "Well with Newleaf in full bloom, I have time for some disturbances." The tom spoke teasingly, however his words rang true, the new season had been a good one for hunting. With fishes swimming in the river, and the territory teeming with prey, it was almost like the crippling Leafbare of moons ago didn't happen. The clan was well fed, and hunting patrol weren't as high pressure as it had been during Leafbare. So much so he could do with a little break.
He sat down near her, watching sunlight dance and reflect off the waters of the river. An activity he didn't usually partake in, more busy with scooping up fish. But if there ever was a perfect time to start, it was now when a pretty she-cat was around admiring the river also. "Beautiful isn't it? Every time I see it, I think to myself that we have the best territory of all the clans."
OOC: Sorry, didn't notice you replied -_-' |

| She didn't understand exactly what the tom meant but she acted like she knew - giving a small forced smile and a small giggle at his teasing. She gave a forced nod, shifting slowly away from him it's not like Rainfall didn't like the tom - she just felt a bit to shy with talking too him, and it seemed a bit awkward as well. Wailingstream was a gentle men after all - he seemed to be humble and he was pleasant with small talk - something Rainfall was horrible at. She continued glancing at the rivers water - dazing at it's crystal clear reflection. Her gaze snapped up when Wailingstream had said something, she slightly tilted her head. She wasn't paying much attention too what he was saying - she didn't feel much like talking at all.
She simply nodded again - giving another forced smile. "Yeah.. Beautiful.." She mumbled an ear flicking. It's not like Rainfall was always this quiet, she just didn't know how to make friends or how to quite interact with others. She'd been babied as a kit because of her disablity of only having to see from one eye - which caused her too be quiet and reserved, watching life go on from a distance. She had been told that she had a striking resemblance to her mother - Frostcloud. A beautiful white she-cat who was kind to everyone, although she didn't act anything like her. "Uhm want to bring some fish back to camp..?" She had mewed towards Wailingstream. |

| Sensing her awkwardness, in turn, Wailingstream felt awkward. A feeling that he was decidedly uncomfortable with and surprised. He'd fought besides Rainfall before, and in the heat of battle, despite all odds, she was fierce as a lion. It was interesting and charming to see this side of her, it peaked his curiosity about the she-cat in a way he'd never felt towards her. For the longest time, even when she was an apprentice, he viewed her as a headstrong she who seemed outwardly confident. But then again, they'd never really spend time together before alone.
Letting her dictate the flow of the moment, he readily agreed to fish. After all, he was a Riverclan cat, and fishing was one thing he loved. Nothing like the feeling of water through his paws and the wriggling of a fish. He had it down to an art. "I'm sure no one will protest to some more food, especially with the influx of kits. Shall we head downstream where the water is calmer?" |

| Well at least they agreed to do something besides sitting in awkward silence. There wasn't much talking involved in fishing - Rainfall hadn't been fishing since she was an apprentice it was one of her favorite things to do. She nodded at Wailingstreams suggestion her eye twinkling, quite impressed how smart he was. "Yeah.. Good idea" the warrior mewed a small smile curving onto her face. She slowly lifted onto her paws her thin tail flicking behind her.
"Haven't fished in awhile." The warrior mumbled padding towards the calm soothing part of the rivers. Her pace was quite quick - due to pure excitement, hers ears perked up at the sounds of a splash. Only being able to catch a glimpse of a sliver fish - the she-cat reacted quickly diving straight into the waters. Although since she was loud the fish simply swam down-stream, her foolishness had cost her a meal. Clambering back onto the river bank Rainfalls whiskers twitched - "I scared of the fish.. - Sorry looks like were gonna need to wait for them to come back.." She mewed quietly her ears flattening. How could she have done something so childish? what a mousebrain.. |
