Time to Train (t)with TigerTail

TigerTail paced impatiently outside the camp. Today they would begin battle training, but first she wanted to see her fishing technic before moving on. TigerTail finally sat down swishing her tail.

Shimmerpaw, the ecxited apprentice raced to her mentor. She had slept in by accident, and had just vinished a small meal that she hardly had time for. "Sorry, Tigertail. I accidently slept in," Shimmerpaw said, out of breath.

TigerTail swished her Thailand said. "Well don't let it happen again! Now come I shall acess your fishing skills then we will begin battle training." She swiftly trotted towards the river not caring if ShimmerPaw followed or not.

Shimmerpaw quickly raced after her mentor. "It won't happen again, I promise, and it sounds like a plan," She said as she happily trotted along side Tigertail. The excited she-cat couldn't wait.

As TigerTail sat at the river she motioned for ShimmerPaw to begin. She would watch correct and then they would eat if ShimmerPaw caught anything. TigerTail swished her tail and eyes the water it was a little frozen in some parts.

As they arrived at the River, Shimmerpaw looked for a non-frozen area to hunt at. Once she found one, she made sure to keep her shadow off the water, then she waited patiently for a fish to come by. Soon, the she-cat saw a glisten in the water and a medium sized fish slowly swam by. Shimmerpaw aimed, then shot her paw into the water, scooping at the fish. the fish flopped out of the water and onto the bank of the river. Shimmerpaw ran over and gave the killing blow. The she-cat proudly picked it up in her mouth and dropped it by Tigertail's feet. "How did I do?"

TigerTail watched ShimmerPaw carefully as the fish flew through the air she mumbled to herself. Finally she spoke. "Make sure you keep the fish close to you when it lands. That way it's quicker to kill." She then stood up and said. "You can eat that and then we will begin battle training."

Shimmerpaw smiled. "Okay, I will next time." The apprentice picked up the fresh kill and ate it. After she finished, she sat and waited to see what Tigertail would do.

TigerTail walked from the river a ways before standing at a later place. "Let's begin battle training. We'll start with the front blow." She looked at a high snow pile and went towards it. "This is how you do it. Make sure your blow is on the the top of the head and keep your claws sheathed." She whacked the snow drift making it explode. sneezing she said. "You try."

Shimmerpaw backed up a little as snow went flying everywhere. "Okay," she said as she found a different snow pile. Shimmerpaw kept her claws sheathed as she slammed her down on the snow pile. Her hit wasn't as strong as Tigertail's, but some snow still flew onto Shimmerpaw. "Like that?" She asked as she spat snow out of her mouth.

TigerTail nodded and said. "Good now let's try dodging that attack. Now I'm going to come at you and try to hit you. You must lift your paw up and deflect it. We'll start slowly then speed up." She crouched down ready to spring once the apprentice was ready.

Ooc: Its okay

Ic: "Ok," The she-cat said as she got ready, crouching down slightly and trying to read Tigertail's eyes to see if she was going to strike on Shimmerpaw's left or right. Shimmerpaw's tail lashed back and forth slowly and her ears twitched. "I'm ready."

TigerTail smiled and ran boldly towards ShimmerPaw's front then dashed to her right then left then went to hit her. It was a fast attack for her first but ShimmerPaw had to learn quickly.

Shimmerpaw got confused as Tigertail switched directions, causing her to defend the wrong side.
