Monarchpaw's training

Training #1: The territories


A terribly scarred golden and white she-cat stood at the camp entrance, excited for her first apprentice. She waited for a few minutes, but sensing no Monarchpaw, she walked into the apprentices' den, nudging Monarchpaw with her paws. "Wake up! It's time for training." Honeydrop hissed.

The golen tabby and white she cat opened her blue irises sleepily. She then blinked the sleep away seeing her mentor and she got to her paws"I'm up"She mewed blinking.

Honeydrop smiled brightly. "Great. I hope you're excited; today we are exploring the territories: I will also show you a few extra things if we have time." The warrior mewed. Rolling her eyes with a smile, she mewed, "Seems like you're energetic."

Monarchpaw stretched slightly smiling"sorry I am excited its just I stayed up really late last nigh excited about training"She mewed

Honeydrop smiled. "Ah, as was I on my first day. No apologizes needed." She started to walk to the camp exit/entrance. "Go grab something to eat, really quick. Meet me by the entrance!"

She nodded and went grabbing her something of the freshkillpile quietly. She ate it quietly and then padded to her mentor.

Honeydrop smiled as Monarchpaw came. "Okay, so, first thing we'll be doing is going to the thunderpath today..." She said and began walking, stopping to see if Monarchpaw was near her still.

"Ok"She mewed and she followed after her mentor.

Honeydrop guided Monarchpaw to the Thunderpath. "Careful- the monsters whiz by here pretty fast." She paused for a moment. "This Thunderpath seperates us from Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Many cats- leaders or otherwise- will cross over here- but they are going to mothermouth. We must always question them, though, and try to find out if they have hunted on our land. Understand?"

Monarchpaw looked at the Thunderpath quietly as her mentor talked. She flicked an ear then nodded"understood"She mewed before she looked at Honeydrop.

Honeydrop nodded silently, continuing onto the moors. As she reached large dip in the ground, going under, she began speaking. "These are the tunnels. They go nearly anywhere in the forest, and one goes-but don't try to find this one- to twoleg place. But beware: they are very confusing and often collapse, so we aren't going to go in..." She stopped, seeing her fathers hurt body in the tunnels, but she shook the thought away. She turned, letting Monarchpaw process the information before continuing on.

Monarchpaw stood silent as she listened. She gazed at the tunnels with blue eyes. "so those are..the tunnels and we can't go in there cause they collaspe...Ok i got it"She mewed looking to her mentor before she followed after.

**Insert Time Lapse**

"Watch your step, its really steep here, Monarchpaw!" Honeydrop called. She was taking her to the gorge: Hopefully no River or Thunderclan cats were there. As they reached the more safe part of the gorge, she said, "Okay Monarchpaw, this is the gorge. As you know, it is very dangerous. If you're a Riverclan cat, you just might be able to swim down there, if the impact of you falling isn't hard. Only Riverclan cats are allowed on the shore. It seperates us from Riverclan, but a small quarter there is were Thunderclan's edge of gorge territory is."

Monarchpaw stepped carefully as she followed her mentor down to the gorge. Once there she looked around and listened as Honeydrop told her about the boundries. She nodded quietly glancing around before at her mentor again.

Honeydrop glanced at the sky. Getting dark. Time to get home. Honeydrop smiled at Monarchpaw. "Come on, it's getting late. Great job today! We will do more tomorrow!" She said and started padding home, glancing back to make sure Monarchpaw wasn't slipping near the edge.
