Brightpaw's Medicine Cat Ceremony

Graystream made his way into the entrance way of ThunderClan's Medicine Cat Den. He peaked his head through and noticed that Brightpaw was inside, "Brightpaw," He meowed in his usual voice as he approched her, "Would you like to go to Highstones today?" He inquired simply as his head looked around the den for a few seconds before returning back to Brightpaw.

"Of course!" Brightpaw said excitedly.

They had been walking for quite a long time before Graystream decided to speak, "So Brightpaw, do you already know why we're headed to Highstones today?" He asked her simply as they followed the path past WindClan's Territory.

She smiled at him. "I kind of guessed that we will be doing my MC ceremony."

Graystream smiled back. The two of them walked on silently for a long while until they finally arrived at the entrance to Mothermouth, "Well, let's go," He meowed happily, smiling as he entered the cave.

Bramblepaw followed him in.

When they finally reached the Moonstone, Graystream turned back around and looked at Brightpaw. He sat tall and proud as he began to recite the words that would make her become a Medicine Cat, "I, Graystream, call upon my Warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a Medicine Cat, and with your help, she will serve her Clan for many moons. Brightpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a Medicine Cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your own life?"

Brightpaw straightened herself. "I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a Medicine cat. Brightpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Brightfire. StarClan honors your compassion and kindness, and we welcome you as a full Medicine cat." Graystream rested his head on top of Brightfire's.

Brightfire licked his shoulder. "Thank you Graystream."
