Just a Patrol [OPEN]

In the distance, Fennelcloud saw the clouds above change colors as the sun set in the west. She hated these early patrols, but she also knew they were the most important ones. This was typically the only time that Thunderclan would be seen before it turned to night, so she knew that this was when they would try to steal prey the most or even prance into territory that wasn't theirs. Starting at the Windclan side, Fennelcloud went back and forth near the Thunderpath to make sure there weren't any trespassers, mainly more around Windclan since they were the most recent offender. She couldn't trust anyone outside of her clan which was why she checked this border so much. It was really the only border that needed to be protected. "There doesn't seem to be anyone moving about. That's strange..." she said, speaking to anyone who would listen as a monster roared by, but usually that was just herself.

Darkpaw had been chosen to go on a patrol today. He felt the need to get used to the territory; it was only his first few days out of camp. As he heard Fennelcloud speak, he nodded. "Yeah... Strange." Sniffing the air, he jumped back as a monster reared by him. That was close.. I better watch where I'm going. Sniffing the air again, he said, "I smell... Thunerclan."
    Sure enough, Dapplepelt was patrolling this border. Seeing Shadowclan cats, he lowly growled under his breath, "Flea brains. I hope they get hit by monsters.... That one's close to the border!" Growling, he stepped out slowly from the trees, but still blending in with the scene. He watched as the younger one sniffed, and suddenly he stepped over the border. Darkpaw looked up in surprise at Dapplepelt, who walked out from the shadows, and he squeaked, "Sorry! I didn't mean to go near the border!" He jumped back over to the Shadowclan side.

"Darkpaw, watch out!" Fennelcloud cried as the apprentice crossed into Thunderclan territory. She hadn't really kept an eye on him so the fact that he dared to cross the Thunderpath into Thunderclan territory was surprising but she blamed herself for not watching him. "Shut your mouth, mouse brain!" the she-cat hissed, before looking at Darkpaw. "This isn't a good way to start off your training, Darkpaw." Giving him a quick stern look, she stared back at the Thunderclan cat. "Just mind your own business!"

"I'm sorry, Fennelcloud." he mewed. Dapplepelt snorted. "Tell me to shut my mouth? You're little apprentice here seems very talkative. And he crossed the border." He snarled. "I said I was sorry!" "Sorry doesn't cover it." The slightly ambitious warrior gave a long, snarl, sure to scare the new apprentice. Pouncing onto the Thunderpath where Darkpaw was standing, he thrashed his claws on his flank and stepped back. "There, you're first battle scar. That'll show you to cross the border again!" Darkpaw rushed behind Fennelcloud, giving a hiss to the warrior. "Stupid Thunderclan cat!" He spat, and then, before he said more, thought better of it.

The Shadowclan warrior gasped as Dapplepelt leaped out towards Darkpaw before she dug her claws into the apprentice's side. "Don't touch my clan members!" She yowled before dashing towards the Thunderclan cat, running into her at full speed in hopes that it would knock her off of her feet. It was entirely impulsive and probably pretty stupid, but she was not going to tolerate this. Darkpaw was only a new apprentice after all. Recovering from the hard hit Fennelcloud gave, she stared down Dapplepelt with claws unsheathed and hackles raised. "If you want a fight, then I'll fight you. But just know you won't get away with your fur!" she hissed.

"Fine then, fight!" Dapplepelt ran up to Fennelcloud, tackling her in one swift move. Growling, he said, "If it's a fight you want, you will be defeated."

Dapplepelt used Run and Tackle causing 19 damage and costing 10 stamina.
