The half-moon cast it's silvery beams on the light grey and white pelt of Cloudkit. I'm coming, Dad. I'll escape ThunderClan live with you in RiverClan. She swore to herself silently, but little did she know that she would never see her father Minnowflash alive again. The fluffy kit turned her head to her brother, who had the plan to escape the Clan which she was half drawn to by blood. "Right, so we stick to the side of camp right and exit through the dirt place tunnel?" Cloudkit whispered as she pressed up against the thorns, remembering that any cat could see her with the moon's white light. The kit was escaping because ThunderClan cats had separated her from her parents, one of whom was dead along with two of her siblings Cinderkit and Rainkit.

With great caution as to not disturb the brambles at the edge of camp, Cloudkit slunk across the camp in the shadows, silent as a snake. When they reached the dirt-place tunnel paused, crouched down low and swerved through the thorns. "Ugh!" The small kit shrunk back as she entered the clearing. "It smells like fox-dung!" She spat a bit too louder than expected.

Lightningkit laughed quietly. "It's the dirt place tunnel, Cloudkit!" he purred. "And also, could you please try to be a little quieter?" Lightningkit mrrowed.

Realising how loud she was, Cloudkit covered her mouth with her tail. "Sorry." She squeaked and tip-toed her way through the dirt-place.

"It's okay. now lets pick up the pace. Knowing how small we are and that RiverClan territory is a good distance away, the warriors might be up before we even get there." he explained quietly.

Taking note of Lightningkit's explanation, Cloudkit nodded and began to trot. When she reached a small exit, the kit wriggled through and wait just outside for her brother with her ears pricked, ready to hear and movement out in the open territory. She was also staring through the woods, taking in it's beauty when the trees were lit by star-light. I bet RiverClan territory is equally as amazing at night. The feline thought to herself, imagining hunting as a warrior under the gaze of StarClan in her rightful Clan.

There was a third cat out in the night. His fur was a stark white against the sky above him, which was not being helped by the nearly full moon. At this cat's side was a lifeless form, one that used to be one of his bestest friends. The small tom sat lonely on Riverclan's bank, since he had pulled his dead friend back to home territory.

Confusion was evident on Ashcloud's pale face. To drown was supposed to be a rare death for a Riverclan cat. But these days, it seemed to be one of the only ways a cat could die before their time. Green eyes glinted with quiet grief, as he watched over Minnowflash's dead body before he would bring it to camp.

Lightningkit halted when they got to Sunningrocks. Their father was laying dead on the rocks. Nothing was sadder that knowing it was just Cloudkit and him. Their father, mother, and two littermates were in StarClan.

As the siblings reached Sunningrocks, the first thing they saw was their father. Cloudkit squealed excitement and bounded forwards, but slowed down when she realised Minnowflash wasn't moving. "D-Dad?" The young kit squeaked as she prodded hit muzzle. Then it hit her. Cloudkit let out a loud caterwaul. "He's dead! Lightningkit he's dead!" She yowled and collapsed by the soaked warrior. She sobbed into his wet fur, not noticing the RiverClan warrior next to her father.

The gray kit's eyes widened. He to his sister's side and payed his last respects. "Shh, it's okay Cloudkit! It'll be okay! Dad's still with us, right here.." he comforted, pointing to his heart with his tail. "..and here." Lightningkit finished, pointing to his head.

With a sad nod Cloudkit sighed, then noticed the presence of a RiverClan warrior. The kit looked up and stared at him, her deep blue eyes taking in his shape and form. He will be my Clan-mate one day. She thought ti herself before lowering her gaze to her fathers body and continued to mourn for him.

To his surprise, two very young kits interrupted him. Why are they here out of their camp? And did they just.. call Minnowflash.. Dad? Still seated, he wasn't sure how to react. Mentally shaking his head, the white warrior allowed them to pay their respect. With them right next to him, he couldn't help but overhear their names.

"Cloudkit and Lightningkit, eh?" He murmured. It was considered rude to be loud around the dead. "Seems the saying misery loves company is true."

At the sound of her name, the light grey and white kit perked her ears as a sign of acknowledgement. "And you are?" She questioned without looking up at the white feline, her words muffled by her fathers coat.
