Just Chillin

Cinderfur sat lazily in the camp as she stared up at the clear sky. It was a beautiful day, but there wasn't much to do. The she-cat was slowly growing more bored than she was already. Letting out a heavy sigh, she looked around for anyone to talk to.

Fidning herself a bit lonley and bored frostpaw found herself padding over to cinderfur to start you know a conversasition. Or anything really she wanted something to cure her absloute boredom "Hello! Im frostpaw and you are?" Frostpaw mewed sitting down besides her hoping to get a conversation going between them besides an awkward slience.

Looking back at the apprentice, Cinderfur sat up and gave Frostpaw a small smile. "I'm Cinderfur. It's good to meet you, Frostpaw!" she mewed, a small purr in her throat. It was good to see an apprentice so happy.

Shallowpaw padded out of the apprentices' den, yawning. His night of sleep had been good, and he was fully energized. "Hiya, Cinderfur! Hi, Frostpaw! What'r you doing today?"

Emberkit bounded over to the gathering cats. "What are you doing? Can I join you?!" she asked excitedly.

Shallowpaw chuckled. "Just chillin'!" he purred. "Yeah, you can join!"

"Yay!" the kit cheered. "...Wait, what's 'chillin'? I've never heard of it..." Her curiosity, insatiable, demanded to know the answer.

Fadingkit impulsively started to streak back and forth, throwing up dust. He tripped and went rolling. Undeterred, Fadingkit shook of and started again.

"What're you doing?" Emberkit asked, vaguely amused by the display. 'Vaguely' meaning snickering endlessly under her breath, of course.

Shallowpaw smiled and ruffled Emberkit's head-fur with his tail. "Chilling is-" he got cut off by Fadingkit. "Woah, are you okay?" the apprentice asked. Looking back at Emberkit, he purred. "Chilling is.. we, just hanging out!" he meowed.

Cinderfur laughed as she looked between the new kits and the apprentices. It had been a quite some time since she had been around kits of her own and the apprentices had so much energy. It was quite a sight to see. Looking at Emberkit and Fadingkit, she realized that she had not recognized the two little kittens. Standing up and walking towards them, she looked down and smiled at them both (as much as cats can really smile). "And who are you two kits? I haven't seen you around before. Is this your first time out of the nursery?"

"It's mine! I don't know about him, though," Emberkit flicked her tail at Fadingkit.

Fadingkit trips exaggeratedly and sits up. "Why else do you think I'm tripping so much?" He giggles at Emberkit.

Shallowpaw smiled at the kits, and looked back up at Cinderfur. "Aren't they energetic," he purred.

Looking at her fellow kit, Emberkit had an idea. "Do you wanna play tag?" she mewed.
