The meeting at midnight

Badgerpaw laughed. "No, I was coming back to say goodbye." He rubbed against his mate.

Heatherpaw purred and licked his cheek. "Well, goodbye Badgerpaw! Should we meet in the tunnels next time?" she asked him.

"Yes," Replied Badgerpaw after thinking a moment. "That way, if someone comes along, they wouldn't be able to see us."

Heatherpaw nodded, and then seemed to hesitate before opening her mouth. "Do.. do you like.. kits?" she asked. "Just asking, no reason!" she added quickly. Heatherpaw seemed to think more, and after a few seconds, she rolled in a patch of wild garlic and ran into WindClan territory. "Tell me at our next meeting!" she called over her shoulder.

Badgerpaw sighed happily and started to walk away, thinking about Heatherpaw's question. Do I like kits? No, I don't like kits. Could I like kits? No. Could I like kits that were my kits? Yes, of course! Badgerpaw hunted on his way back to camp to make himself look less suspicious with other cats.

Heatherpaw mentally kicked herself for asking Badgerpaw that so soon. "What was I thinking?!" she whispered. After a while, she stopped running and hunted.
