Friendship Lasts Forever (Part 2)

Lightpaw walked out of the apprentice den and lay in the sun, soaking up the little amount of heat.

Graypaw hadn't done much as an apprentice yet. He didn't really see his mentor a lot, they had only trained a couple times. For the most part though, he slept in the den, coming out only a couple times. He was aware that he was starving himself, but he didn't ever really feel hungry. His eyes slowly opened, and a yawn escaped his mouth. He slowly crawled out of the den, and looked up at the sky. He was going to make an effort, and try to be a little more active today.

OOC: Hey, is this thread open? or is it just the two of you?

OOC: Its actually just us.

IC: Lightpaw smiled softly as she saw her friend Graypaw. She stood and walked over to him. "Hello friend." she said before bumping shoulders with him.

Graykit was caught off guard, as for the second time, he didn't notice her. "Oh, hi Lightpaw!" he said happily.

"You up for a race?" she asked excitedly as she watched her friend.

"Uh, now? I mean, sure." he said. He knew that he couldn't beat her, even if he did train. "Countdown?" he asked as he got in a racing position.

"Three." she replied, getting herself ready.

"Two." he said as he looked over at her. There's no way I'll win He was just going to follow her since he couldn't beat her. He didn't even know where they were racing to.

"One!" she yelled before taking off in a blur. She ran full speed towards the entrance of the camp.

He couldn't believe it, she was faster than before. This didn't stop him though, he ran as fast as he could after her, barely touching the ground as he ran after her.

Lightpaw glanced back and saw Graypaw following her. She smiled happily and turned her attention back to what was in front of her.

Graypaw looked at what she was going towards, and tried to go faster. It didn't work, but he had to try.

Lightpaw skidded to a hault and turned to see Graypaw nearing.

When Graypaw finally made it to their destination, he stopped, and looked at her. Between breaths, he asked "How am I ever going to beat you?"
