Friendship Lasts Forever (Part 3, Final part)

Lightheart left the warriors den, stretching. Her pale fur shone in the sun as she looked around, very bored.

Ooc: I'm pretty sure turtle has been away for a while. Just a heads up

OOC: Thanks.

OOC: *puts on sunglasses* Actually, i'm back

Graystorm was laid down close to the entrance, his eye closed as he tried to take a nap. As he heard someone leaving on of the dens, he opened one of his eyes and looked around. As he spotted Lightheart, a large smile spread across his face.

Lightheart noticed Graystorm and smiled. "Well if it isn't my dearest friend." she said. Her eyes showed great affection as she looked at the tom.

"Your dearest friend? I would want to say your only friend." Then, he remembered their promise. He didn't really remember racing when they were apprentices, all he could remember was when they were kits. Well, then again, he had forgotten most of his days as an apprentice. "Hey, do you remember?"

Lightheart grinned mischeviously. "Come on you old slowpoke. Get up." she said playfully.

"Heh, okay then." He slowly picked himself up, feeling old for some reason. He didn't know why, he did feel old though. He crouched down, and waited for the countdown to start.

"Go!" Lightheart said loudly, not bothering to countdown. She took off across the camp, slower than she was as an apprentice. Her eyes were determined as she ran.

"Huh?" Why had she not done the countdown? It just seemed like something they always did, and it was fair. Now, it seemed like she was going to win anyway. He bolted after Lightheart, not knowing where the finish line was.

Lightheart ran making it look she was going as fast as could but really, she had slowed down.

As he started to pant, he called to her "So... W-Where is the... The finish line?" He had to say this between deep breaths, obviously.

"You'll see!" she called. She aimed for the tree at the other end of the camp.

Graystorm looked at her, and tried to figure out where the finish line was. He turned to her, but couldn't turn back. She's so... He stopped himself, just in case he had been saying it out loud.

Lightheart looked at Graystorm. "The tree!" she said, running a little bit faster.
