| As Icekit heard his name being called out, his ears perked up to the deputy's words. Slowly, but surely, he made his way out of the temporary nursery closer to the others. Immediately he knew what this was, of course it was his apprentice ceremony. He was either six moons, or past that and well...he wasn't very new in this world so...yep. Must b becoming an apprentice. |

| Talonkit strutted after the other kits, chest puffed out and chin held high. As he settled with the other cats, he felt a burst of excitement fill him. He looked around at the other cats, wondering who would be his mentor. Turning back to Thrushstripe, Talonkit's paws prickled. He was becoming an apprentice! |

| As all of the kits made their way into the spotlight, Thrushstripe took time to look at each and every one of them. Boy were there a lot. "Each of you have come of age to earn the title of apprentice. Finchkit, from today until you become a warrior, you will be known as Finchpaw and your mentor will be Shadeflame. Heavykit, from today until you become a warrior, you will be Heavypaw and I will be your mentor. Talonkit, from today until you become a warrior, you will be Talonpaw and Scorchclaw will be your mentor. Stormkit, you will known as Stormpaw until you become a warrior and your mentor will be Silverleaf. Icekit you will be known as Icepaw until your become a warrior and your mentor will be Cormorantpelt. And Hollowkit, from today until you become a warrior you will be known as Hollowpaw and your mentor will be Lionstrike. I hope and trust that each mentor will teach all of you everything they know." And that was that. So many ceremonies. It was great to see the clan grow, but Thrushstripe hated that it had to be here in the tunnels. No matter. They'd be back home eventually.

| The newly named Talonpaw strolled up to his mentor, leaning forward until thier noses touched. As he pulled away, Talonpaw smiled, as he thought about the opportunities that lay ahead of him. He had a lot to look forward to now that he was finally an apprentice!
