First Step Out of the Nursery

Rookkit bounced around the nursery, hoping to be able to go outside for the first time. "Go on." she heard her mother say. Rookkit turned and dashed towards the entrance. Suddenly she tripped over her own paws and tumbled outside, rolling head over heels until she land on her belly. She felt shame consume her. She sighed and stayed where she was, hoping no one saw that.

Stormkit padded out of the nursery. She had noticed the fall and looked at Rookkit"you ok?"she asked.

"I'm fine." Rookkit squeaked. She picked herself up and looked at Stormkit. "Well that was embarrassing." she mewed quietly.

Tigerkit padded over to where the small kit Stormkit was talking to, whiskers twitching, and his eyes gleamng with amusement. He bounded over and sat next to Stormkit, the two were almost apprentices and were a bit bigger than Rookkit.
"Hi," he greeted quickly, giving Stormkit a small nudge on the shoulder. "You weren't gonna play a game without me were you?" He mewex to her, a playful glint lighting his amber eyes.

IC: Rookkit looked up at the older kits and felt smaller than usual. "Hi!" she squeaked. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and she glanced around the camp. She wanted to explore everything and meet everyone. She was shaking with excitment.

Stormkit was still somewhat shy but she had gotten over it so when one of her classmates nudged her she would jump. She smiled at Tigerkit"I don't think so but I can "stormkit needs with a playful glint in her eyes.

Rookkit watched the two and smiled. They seemed like good friends to her. Rookkit sniffed and smelled an interesting scent. She followed it to the entrance of what seemed like a big den. She sniffed, taking in the scent, or scents actually. Rookkit stepped one paw in curiously.

"I wouldn't go in there," Tigerkit muttered. "That's the leader's den, and even Spottedfeather wouldn't let me in." The kit sighed. "I can't wait until I'm a warrior!" Tigerkit's eyes gleamed with determination. "Not long after that, I'll be the best leader ThunderClan ever had!"

Rookkit looked back at Tigerkit and Stormkit. She glanced back into the den, fighting her curiosity. She turned and padded over to the other kits and sat down near them. "Is the leader mean?" she squeaked.

Tigerkit gave Stormkit a crossed glance. Whoever said she could doubt Tigerkit?! That frustrated the kit so much, but he turned to Rookkit. "Of coyrse not," he mewed briskly,"Dewstar is a great leader."
