I know you really want ShadowClan to have the advantage with their Clan move, but this has already been covered. - Quote :

I covered your covering. Despite what Reedstar thinks, it doesn't make much sense.
To be honest, even with the night in our favor, we'd still be at a disadvantage. (And it isn't up to you guys to decide what our clan does...? If we wanna sleep in the day, then damn, we can sleep in the day. Its not like it isn't canon.)
But really, I'd just like ShadowClan's lore to be respected, with them being nocturnal. The daytime Clans send patrols out both at dawn (when they wake up) and at sunset (when they're about to go to sleep). Are you trying to say that ShadowClan is not the same, except reversed? Can a Clan of feral warriors not bear to be out in the sun ever? We didn't even specify a time, just that the sun was still out. If it gets you that irritated, then we can say the attack is at sunset, but that seems like a trivial detail to get you panties in a knot about. ShadowClan's "lore" is being respected, just in a way that doesn't allow you to murder-rape apprentices in one hit, because I think Raccoonstar and Reedstar (who have grown up with the myths about ShadowClan that you love so much) would not be so dumb as to attack in the cover of darkness when SC is concerned. Also, I don't care that ShadowClan will be even more at a disadvantage. You bullied ThunderClan with both your Clan move and your numbers without any cause, so I don't feel bad about this at all. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |

| Ooc: Guys. Sunset patrols are the bomb. But I want everyone to be aware that ShadowClan sleeps during the day so we don't have this argument every time someone attacks ShadowClan. Which according to other people... >3> Is going to become a frequent event.
Ic:
The wind carried the smell of heather and grass, as it ruffled the leader's long fur. Leaf bare wasn't too far off, considering the crisp edge that the gale gave. Blue eyes set forward, her paw steps sounded even and elegant, as if unfazed of what what kind of battle was ahead. Her tail swished with a serene calm, as she was thinking of what to say. Contrary to popular belief, ShadowClan wasn't completely blood thirsty. In fact, she'd much rather not fight, but instead talk this through.
WindClan was lucky. If Nightstar hadn't felt off during the last gathering and ordered more patrols, then they would have had to sit there for a while, before a patrol came. However, it was by sheer luck, that the leader had chosen this patrol to take, instead of another during the night time.
Soon, her icy eyes spotted her WindClan counterpart standing tall over in the horizon. That's when Nightstar knew that she was in trouble. The leader halted and looked be hind her and took inventory of the cats in her patrol. Not enough to fight WindClan. Nightstar turned to a random apprentice and made a gesture for the cat to get help. As soon as the young cat had gone, the black furred cat motioned with her tail for them to stay there.
She knew that it would be weird for them. This was just supposed to be a routine check. No, this was not the case.
"Greetings, Racconstar, such a fine evening isn't it?" Nightstar chatted coolly. The menace was hidden in her tone, matching her icy sharp, blue eyes that seemed to dig into the other leader.
---
Bristlepaw watched from behind a tree. His dark blue eyes glanced between his clanmates, to the even well more hidden RiverClan cats. He caught his breath as a dark figure approached his leader, his heart pounded fast, his claws slid in and out in anxiety.
With the sun slowly sinking below the horizon, it drew long shadows from the trees, and the decaying leaves cascaded down in union with the Leaffall breeze. It was such a mundane, calm scene if you didn't mind the cats. The tabby never thought about how pretty the forest was during leaf fall.
Ah, here he was. Trying to keep his mind off of the upcoming battle. Uh. Where was Snowpaw?

Ravenpaw was next to the apprentice that Nightstar had called back to get more help. She was a tad disappointed that she wasn't called to get help, but then again, she was still younger than the others. Her eyes scanned the trees, and her ears flattened. She would have to fight all of these cats? This freaked her out, even though that it was Shadowclan's specialty. She was still just an apprentice.. But oh well.
With her eyes going back to Nightstar, she looked down, hoping that she wouldn't be the first target. ______________________________________ |

| ;; asdfghjkl; I haven't been able to post. ;A; So busy recently, my bad...
Being back on SkyClan territory was like going back home to Silentstar and Drizzlekit with Larchcloud and the others to Lavenderheart. But of course, they were gone. Despite that, this was still her birth home. This battle would be to reclaim her home. She thought it was the right thing only to have her adopted clan to have the right territory, no? When SkyClan, or Silentstar, left and placed her with WindClan, the clans had split up SkyClan territory as if they owned it. Huh, as if! They couldn't just take the territory and do something like that - well, ShadowClan anyway... WindClan only are having this fight because of her.
It would be her fault if lives were risked. If she had just left with her mother; just followed her to where she was instead of sit there like a helpless kit - wait... she was a kit back then. Looking up, Nightstar was already there. Of course the ShadowClan leader was to be angry at them! While she really wanted her home back, she thought that the other clan, no matter how she thought of them, needed the territory. However, there were so many advantages to having the territory with them. What if WindClan territory caught on fire, or flooded, or... other stuff? SkyClan still had the camp in tact, so it would be nice. It'd be nice to go back after that final time.
Where was Twistedfoot and her kits...? The blue she-cat waved her tail, flicked her ears in anxiety. She had left Shrikekit, Bluekit, Frostkit, and Whitekit back in the nursery. What was she going to do if they got hurt? Sending a silent prayer to StarClan, she turned her blue gaze up to the moon, revealing a slightly violet pool in her eyes that appeared when she had went back to SkyClan's former camp.
StarClan, keep them safe...
~~~~~
Snowpaw's fur bristled as the ShadowClan cats appeared. Although they were fighting alongside RiverClan and that the two together were the largest clans, what if ThunderClan came? It'd be a fight of all the clans. The wind and speed she was darting at through the crowd, there was one cat that was in her mind...
Where was he? The undergrowth of SkyClan territory made her feel uncomfortable, but the trees provided nice shelter, but if anything happened to him of all cats... What would she do? He was her only friend... The tom could always provide her comfort, probably the only one, well, except her mentor, Falconfang. That very dark grey tabby tom... she loved him. Every time she looked at him, she felt her heart beat faster; every time she saw him, she felt herself grow hot from embarrassment; every time, there was always something different about him that made her feel wanted.
This was a battle she needed to face with him or... it wouldn't be something she could last.
Brushing past every cat, and muttering small apologies every now and then, she spotted him at last. His dark grey tabby fur and the milky white bridge of his nose. Her gaze softened and felt comforted as she skidded to a stop beside him, but then she shied away slowly, turning her face to hide that she was blushing.
Bristlepaw...
~~~~~
Mintcloud felt the wind brushing at her fur - it wasn't very thick, but it wasn't thin. Either way, it was bitter. Her mate had disappeared and was suspected dead. She'd rather be dead, but StarClan save her, she needed to help her clan. Whether under Froststar's orders or Reedstar's orders, the leader's words were law - just as stated in the Warrior Code.
Turning her tail, her eyes betrayed the fear she had. She was trembling so much, but it wasn't always like that. What happened to Duckstep was now the least of her worries, though... He never heard her say the one thing she had meant to say most:
I love you...
She never got the chance to tell him that she was having kits - his kits. Why was StarClan being so cruel to so many cats? In her mind, she tried to shrug off the thoughts, but the silver tabby just couldn't. Turning away from it, her belly slightly swollen with the kits, Mintcloud slowly focused on the battle, having the thought that one day, she would be able to tell him... One day.
~~~~~
Ravenpaw had just arrived, herbs of all sorts clamped in her jaws and a few wrapped in her tail. Seeing that ShadowClan had just arrived, the raven medicine cat apprentice leaped onto the closest branch, gracefully landing. That was one good thing about her. Ever since she'd been born, some of her clanmates, they still do, look at her as if she was a disgrace. It wasn't like it was her fault that she was part SkyClan... Either way, she was secretly pleased about it.
Looking down on the battle, the she-cat saw so many cats prepared to fight for the sake of this stretch of territory. Hiding her slight pleasure about the blood that was about to be shed, Ravenpaw couldn't ever understand about battles - that just wasn't her path. Yet, there was always something about it that hurt her.
The first time when she felt that she was lonely and none of her Clanmates could ever accept her because of her origins and her atmosphere.
The second time when she had accepted into taking the role of a medicine cat apprentice, making herself different than all her clanmates.
The third time was her meeting with the fox - the tempting words, what else could happen? After all, all of this hurt.
A wound that only just recovered, but continuously opened. A part of heart that would never be shown to any other cat would be the love that two cats shared for each other - only to each other. It could be possible to retire and train as an apprentice with a warrior, but... Wouldn't that make no difference?
Nothing was going to heal this loneliness - nothing. Only darkness can blanket it and turn it into something worse.
~~~~~
Fawnstep muttered something under her breath, feeling this battle unnecessary. WindClan should've kept off their territory in the end - there wasn't any point to this. She hardly cared about what happened to those thieving rabbit eaters, but her clanmates needed to stay safe, especially while leaf-bare was slowly approaching.
Sure sure, SkyClan's final full-blood descendant was in there clan. Huh, whatever! Either way, her kits would then have their own kits and SkyClan will disappear. None of the new kits ever hear about them anyway. Why fight for a Clan that didn't exist anymore?
However, she never knew any of them. Unlike the senior warriors, that fought against the Deomilities - a group of rogues that had driven them out, or tried to anyway - she had never faced a threat with them. Yet, why were WindClan so attached to them? Oh right... Lavenderheart and Twistedfoot are mates, and Twistedfoot is Raccoonstar's kit along with Stormstar's, so...
Sighing, the cinnamon brown she-cat unsheathed her claws, they dug deep into the ground, but she lifted them up, and got into a hunter's crouch, as if she was ready to battle. Whether she and ShadowClan were ready, that would be up to Nightstar, but she would do what was asked.
Hopefully...
;; ;v; Well, most of this is so wishy-washy and romantic. Probably what I get for reading a Warriors Fanfic about sixty couples (crack/joke, other pairings, canon, etc.) in the canon. Oh well... As Cinderfur watched from a distance, she couldn't help but wonder why in the name of Starclan that Riverclan was helping out Windclan, but she didn't dare question it. Shooting a quick look of concern towards Reedstar, she simply kept low and out of sight while staring across what was supposed to be the Windclan/Shadowclan border, yet all she see was just a bunch of trees. Granted, the smell of carrion and frogs hung in the air and mixed in with the woodsy and grassy smell of Windclan's side, but there was no way to truly tell where the exact border was. With a small sigh, she awaited orders, although she was slowly beginning to freak out. Yes, she had heard stories of Shadowclan, but as soon as Nighstar made her appearance, Cinderfur quickly felt intimidated. She had seen the Shadowclan leader at the gatherings, but there seemed to be something different about her here. Nightstar looked older, wiser, and more powerful in the setting sunlight. What did that mean for the other cats? Were they just as powerful? Trying to shake out the bad thoughts, she focused immediately on the leaders' conversation waiting for any signal to attack.
Thankfully for the first patrol of the night, Gingerheart had been right behind Nightstar as they followed the borders. But as soon as the gust of wind came through, the older she-cat stopped dead in her tracks as she looked across the final Shadowclan/Windclan border only to find several cats standing in the small clearing just over the border. That wasn't a good sign... Instantly, Gingerheart was on the defensive. "Windclan..." she spat before holding her tongue and looking at Nightstar. Was she going to go ahead and give orders to attack? At this point, Gingerheart was amped and the longer that she watched the clumsy rabbit-chasers across the way, the more adrenaline pumped through her veins. Unsheathing her claws without a second thought, she waited for any command from her leader, but was slightly thrown off when Nightstar simply chose to try to speak with Raccoonstar. Although it was obvious that it was in no way a friendly chat, the senior warrior couldn't help but wonder what the she-cat was doing until she remembered about the reinforcements. In just a few moments, she took a deep breath as she kept herself focused on her enemies. One step over the border and it was all over. Gingerheart wasn't going to wait for orders. She was going in for the kill.
As soon as Thrushstripe had gotten the message from the apprentice about almost all of Windclan gathering at the border, he knew immediately what was going on. With a loud hiss of aggravation, the deputy quickly called for all of the warriors and apprentices with battle training to head to the new Shadowclan/Windclan border. Why did Windclan have to do this now of all times? It took him a while to get there, but he was thankful that they seemed to make it on time. Nothing had really happened quite yet. He only saw Nightstar, Gingerheart and Fawnstep standing at the border just waiting patiently for Windclan to make their move. Quickly getting into position, Thrushstripe looked around at the rest of the warriors that showed up. "Prepare yourselves," he hissed softly but sternly. "Who knows what kind of strategies they have come up with. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious and wait for Nightstar's orders." So yeah, he basically just reminded the clan of what they already knew, but hey. He couldn't be too careful. |

| Cinderfrost gave a pointed glare at the WindClan leader; and behind her, the cats in the trees. It was their territory! Not theirs! They made a deal over it, why are they trying to get it now, when the prey is leaving and ShadowClan will be even more hungry without the territory? They're rabbit eaters, they don't eat forest prey! she thought angrily.
Silvershade sat high up in a tree, staring down the large patrol of ShadowClan cats that stood close to Raccoonstar. It was going to be a tough fight, the patrol was pretty big; but against two clans? They were going to win, no doubt about it. It wasn't a very hard deduction. She eyed the WindClan cat that perched precariously next to her; she clearly wasn't very comfortable in a tree. "Steady there, Shadetalon. Don't fall off, you'll alert them to our presence if they don't already know," she whispered. "I hate trees," Shadetalon muttered, gripping the branch even tighter with her claws. |

| Mapleclaw remained unwavering when she saw Nightstar and her warriors arrive; in fact there was a small grin on the deputy's face. but however, her tongue remained still as she carefully watched them, letting her gaze scan over the cats of ShadowClan that were present. Her gaze narrowed as she noticed, with a snort, that Eagleclaw was missing from them. Was her 'ally' to busy with his own goals to help his Clan? No matter, she may not be able to show him which of the two were stronger, but she could make sure his Clanmates would tell of how they lost to her and her Clanmates; after all, she knew RiverClan was stronger that those crow-eaters.
Twistedfoot swallowed when he saw ShadowClan arrive, and scooted closer toward his son. His gaze flickered around as he attempted to spot his mate and other children, but they were lost in the bushes and undergrowth of the territory. Stupid land! He thought with a hiss, glancing at Badgerpaw with a flicker of fear and worry. Why in StarClan's name were they even fighting for this land? He wasn't going to go against his mother's orders but...This was no place for a WindClan cat. ShadowClan could have this piece of land for all he cared; he just didn't want his family to get hurt.
Badgerpaw let out a hiss when he saw Nightstar from his hiding place, but quickly stopped it when he saw his father scoot closer to him. His eyes narrowed as he quickly turned his head from his father. What? Did Twistedfoot think he needed protection? He could easily take on these guys! He wasn't scared of ShadowClan, mostly seeing how the sun was still up...For now, at least. Hopefully if there was going to be a fight, it would happen soon.
Nightcloud had been startled to hear that these was a problem at the border and had quickly followed Thrushstripe when he had called the warriors. She came to a stop, keeping her gaze fixed on Raccoonstar. However, she also noticed Reedstar and RiverClan's new deputy...Mapleclaw, wasn't it, near the WindClan leader. Her ears flickered as she glanced from Raccoonstar to Reedstar. Having both leaders and deputies presence...This had to mean that something was afoot. Her ears perked up as she scanned the forest around her, ready for the first sign of any attackers; her claws digging into the ground. She was ready for anything that happened... ______________________________________ Acornstar ♀ ~ Badgermask ♀ ~ Creamsky ♂ ~ Duckfeather ⚧ ~ Eveningmoon ♀ ~ Flurryshade ♂ (Not pictured) TC T5 Leader (70/200) ~ SC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ SkC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ RC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ WC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ TC T1 Warrior (30/80)Rosybrown (Forest)/ Sandybrown (Feral) ~ Indigo ~ Tan ~ Olive ~ Icyblue ~ Slategray |

| "Spare us, Nightstar." Reedstar cut in bluntly. He didn't want the leader delaying them until darkness gathered, and didn't want Raccoonstar bickering back. The spindly and bare trees already were casting long shadows. "You know what this is about. When Sagewhisker took this land, it was an affront to holy tradition and our ancestors. ShadowClan has no claim to this territory."
The RiverClan leader paused, looking over Nightstar's patrol. Gingerheart he instantly recognized, and one that looked suspiciously like Cedarfur. The others Reedstar had caught glances of at Gatherings, but their names were lost on him. "Your Clan's remained presence here after his retirement is an outrage. SkyClan lives on in WindClan now, and you are nothing but imperious thieves for as long as you stay." Reedstar wasn't about to coat his words in honey now, when ShadowClan was concerned. "Let me be candid, Nightstar. Leave now peacefully and never set a paw in SkyClan's territory again, or be driven out. We'll see who StarClan favors then." ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |
