Shadeheart's Ceremony

Raccoonstar approached the medicine cat den to find the Medicine Cat Apprentice the clan all knew. It was time for her to become a full time medicine cat, and be soon trusted with an apprentice. "Shadeheart?" Raccoonstar called into the den.

Shadeheart turned around from sorting herbs. "Yes, Racconstar?" she asked. She had forgotten it was her ceremony today.

"It's time for your ceremony. We need to head to the Moonstone as soon as possible." Raccoonstar mewed to her medicine cat.

Shadeheart realised with a shock that she had forgotten. It was unlike her to forget these things, but she decided to ignore that. "Ok then. Let's go!" she meowed, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice.

Raccoonstar nodded, and made her way out of the den, and the camp. She started on the rocky road to the Moonstone with her Medicine Cat.

The two cats arrived at mothermouth. Shadeheart padded in first. It was very dark, but she knew where she was going. She waited in the moonstone chamber for Racoonstar.

Raccoonstar followed behind Shadeheart into the familiar moonstone chamber she had visited once or twice to talk to Starclan, those times troubled her. For she was still unable to shake the thing that plagued her. She sat down at the edge of the chamber, and decided to speak the usual ceremony that Medicine Cats used. I, Raccoonstar, Leader of Windclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help she will serve her Clan for many moons." Raccoonstar mewed,
"Shadeheart, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Shadeheart smiled. "I do," she purred.

"Then from the this moment on you are a full medicine cat of Windclan. We welcome you." Raccoonstar said happily, this was their first full medicine cat since Stormeye's brother.. Who never returned... "Congratulations." The leader purred.
