Dreams and Reality.

Silence came from Honeypaw as she sat in the middle of the camp clearing, staring at the Highrock. Her eyes were narrowed as she stared at the rock, letting out a small huff. She felt like she had been an apprentice for much longer than she had been expecting; and that she should of had her name by now. Of course; she had a feeling that the claim wasn't that far off due to her training being halted due to Whitefoot being so busy. Of course, now that her training was almost complete due to the help of Lionheart, Dewclaw, and Mossstar, Whitefoot was finally starting to go back to his normal duties...The yellow apprentice's gaze lowered to her paws as she sighed softly. She couldn't help but wonder that if Whitefoot hadn't been so busy, if she would of had her warrior name by now.

Speak of which, she started to wonder what her warrior name might be. Honeyheart? Honeycloud? Honeyflower? Honeyfur? Honeyface? Honeystripe? She had no idea and her mind longed with knowing what would finally become her name that could be remembered by all of those around her for many moons after she was gone...Ha, who knows, maybe one day she would become Honeystar! She doubt it thought; she knew that being leader meant she would have to lead her Clan into battles and that wasn't something she wanted to do; fight. She knew that fighting was part of the Clan's lifestyle, but the idea of hurting other cats just didn't spark her interest. However...As she looked at the apprentice den, her eyes narrowed a bit. She knew her sister had to be in there; and Honeypaw would do anything to protect Featherpaw; even if that meant taking on a Clan leader! Featherpaw was so soft and shy, she knew that in battle she may have trouble protecting herself and there was no way she would let anybody, and she meant anybody hurt her little sister! 

After a few moments she frowned. Wait...Featherpaw was her youngest sister right? She had never asked her mother who was born first, and she barely talked with her mother now, she had no time asking. Mostly that thought wasn't on her mind that often. It wasn't hard to picture that Honeypaw was the oldest of the duo; she had been more adventurous than Featherpaw as a kit, and hadn't been afraid to speak her mind. Honeypaw chuckled softly as she thought about her time as a kit as she turned her gaze back to the Highrock. How she missed being a kit; having no care in the world as she wondered what sat outside the Clans walls. She knew that most kits would want to explore the world; sneak out of the camp and expect to see nothing but how great everything was...But that just wasn't reality. It was full of danger and fighting and death. Things that kits never really thought of much. Sure they dreamed of fighting, but they would never realize how scary it could be and the pain that would be felt...And the danger of the Thunderpath. The black road haunted in her in dreams, always full of those monsters that she had seen on her first time seeing the borders. She was surprised at how such creatures could exist, but they did. She let out a small sigh as she laid down, her gaze once again fixed on her paws. Why couldn't she be a kit again and live in the world she had always pictured.


Occ: Wow, that is one long post...Well...Um, anybody can join I guess. There isn't much of a way I want to take the topic but don't have your cats take it in a random direction. This topic is pretty much was just made because I really need to roleplay as Honeypaw and that ThunderClan is dying a bit roleplaying-wise due to almost all the topics just being training. I guess this topic is also going to be used on exploring Honeypaw and her train of thoughts and how she sees the world...but yea. >.< Sorry about making the post so long. I got really carried away and attempting to make the topic name fit and have everything fit together.

Honeypaw's train of thought in the topic in case you were confused (and the fact that I was a bit afraid that I didn't make much sense):

Warrior ceremony ----> Warrior name ----> Becoming leader -----> Fighting ----> Protecting Featherpaw ----> Is Honeypaw older than Featherpaw -----> Being kits -----> How the dreams that kits have are so different from reality.

Mossfur woke up in the middle of the night and tried to sleep. She tossed and turned but couldn't sleep. She heard some other warrior grumble at the racket she was making. She stepped outside and saw Honeypaw. "Hi! Can't sleep?"

Spottedpaw awoke to the sound of a cat talking. She was quite sensitive when she was sleeping, so she wasn't surprised that she woke up to the soft sounds. She softly padded out of the den and walked outside to see Mossfur and Honeypaw. She quietly went up to the two and meowed "Hi guys"

Honeypaw looked up at Mossfur with a shocked look, having not heard the warrior sneak up on her. She pulled herself to her feet as she let out a small sigh, shaking her head. "Uh, y-yea, I guess so. Just...thinking of things." She grew a bit quite as she spoke, and looked at Spottedpaw with a soft, sheepish smile. "Oh...Hey, Spottedpaw."

Spottedpaw noticed something was off about Honeypaw so, being her sweet self, decided to ask. " Are you ok?

Mossfur looked at Honeypaw is concern. She did look down. "What's wrong?"

Featherpaw lifted her head at the rustle of a warrior padding from their den, and she watched the blurry shape of Spottedpaw pad outside. Glancing at the nest beside her, she sighed softly and got to her paws. Shaking her head to clear the sleep from her vision, she made her way outside and warily padded over to Honeypaw. She sat down next to her, nosing her sister's shoulder affectionately. She missed the days when they could simply talk with out a care in the world. But nowadays, between training and sleeping, they hardly had time to edge in a single word to each other.

"Well looks like everybody's coming. We should lower our voices." Mossfur whispered jokingly. "Honeypaw what are you thinking about?"

Honeypaw was silent as she looked at the two cats, letting out a soft sigh. She wasn't complete sure if she wanted to talk about it, but when she felt somebody nuzzle her shoulder and looked over to see her sister, she smiled softly and turned back to Mossfur, nodding slowly as he asked again. "I was just think about how our dreams are always so different from reality. I mean, when you are a kit you think everything in the world is just perfect and that once you get to leave the camp, you will be able to explore the world without a worry in the world...But...It just isn't like that." Her voice grew softer as she went on, wrapping her tail around her paws. "I never realized how scary the world truly was until I saw the Thunderpath. To see those giant monsters run along it with those mighty growls...It just makes me want to be a kit again and forget everything. I just want to go back to seeing the world how I saw it as a kit. As a big huge adventure that would never go wrong...But I know that I need to face the truth of how the world works...But I just don't want to do it!"

Spottedpaw took a moment to think about what Honeypaw said. It was true, except she hasn't yet experienced any of that yet. She was a new apprentice. But she was going to face the world as it was and become a great warrior! "It's ok Honeypaw. I believe that we all have to face things, just like facing our fears. We have to do it sometime. But you should have fun doing it." Spottedpaw smiled kindly.

Featherpaw glanced at Spottedpaw, sighing softly. She's a new apprentice. She doesn't understand yet. But I do. she thought, suddenly realizing how the days being a kit were so much better than the days spent as an apprentice, or a warrior even. "It's okay; it's all worth it for your Clan, right?" she whispered, gazing up at her sister.

Mossfur nodded. She used to feel like that. "But everybody grows up at one point. New things and danger is part of life."
