Shhhhhh.... a Raccoonstar is not there

The leader of Windclan sat at the Riverclan border waiting for a border patrol, but she determined by the strong scents that a patrol had already passed through. Slowly the Leader made her way onto her foe's territory, and made her was to the camp, at a break-neck pace. She stopped once she reach the inner part of the territory were she sat and waited on some cat to find her.

Duckstep tipped his head to the side, ears twitching. Some cat was there. Maybe a returning warrior? But the smell of rabbits and moor lingered in the air, just faintly. "Who's there?!" he called, getting to his paws and padding towards the band of water that laced the edges of camp.

Raccoonstar gave off a sigh, then let out a call to respond to the warrior, "It's me, Raccoonstar from Windclan. I need to speak with your leader! I have come alone!" The grey she-cat responded.

Duckstep glanced around, finally spotting the cat. "Uhm.. okay. Come on." he responded, ducking through a swath of reeds and pausing, waiting for the leader to follow.

The Windclan leader started to follow the warrior over to the camp, once she got close to the camp she paused at the water that separated the camp from the territory. A frown grew on the Windclan leader's face, but instead of turning back the leader pushed through it, and into the camp after the Riverclan warrior.

Lightpaw had been walking back to camp after a swim in the River when she spotted Duckstep and another warrior. She didn't recognize this warrior that was fallowing Duckstep toward Froststar's den. "Duckstep!" Lightpaw yelled, walking over to the two cats. "What are you doing? And who is this cat?" Lightpaw smelled Windclan on the unfamiliar cat. As she waited for Duckstep's answer, she studied the cat. she was defiantly from Windclan

Walking over to Lightpaw, Raccoonstar, and Duckstep, Mintcloud mewed, "Do you pay attention during Gatherings at all, Lightpaw? That's Raccoonstar, the leader of WindClan." Bowing her head to the WindClan leader, the silver tabby waved her tail before flicking her ear. Her calm gaze held before she looked around, scenting the air. No other WindClan cats except Raccoonstar... Good, it's not that they're planning a battle. "What brings you here Raccoonstar? I can fetch Froststar for you."

"That is exactly what I need, I need to talk to Froststar. It's important." The leader said firmly hoping the Riverclan warriors would get the message that it is urgent.

Lightpaw jumped at Mintcloud's voice. She didn't know that she was there. Lightpaw felt a bit embarrassed. "I haven't been to a gathering yet" Lightpaw said a bit shyly. She turned her gaze back to Racoonstar. "Someone get Froststar" Lightpaw said

Mapleclaw opened her eyes with a small snort, looking up from her spot near the warrior den. Her eyes quickly narrowed at the sight of Duckstep and the strange grey she-cat. Even without Mintcloud saying the name of the she-cat, she easily could place the name Raccoonstar to her. She slowly pulled herself to her paws, but she didn't make any move toward the leader. She did keep a firm eye on Raccoonstar as she watched from her spot, wondering what was so important that the WindClan leader had come to their camp just to speak to Froststar. Hopefully, she would let the whole Clan hear it...

"No need." A voice called out from beneath the willow tree's roots as Froststar slipped out. She stopped in front of the WindClan leader and sat with her tail across her paws. Tell me, Raccoonstar, what is important enough for you to come to my camp to speak about?" The RiverClan leader asked, tilting her head in interest.

The Windclan leader looked around there area hoping to discuss this in private, but if the Riverclan leader wanted to discuss this out in the open then so be it. "I was thinking we should form an alliance." Nervousness did not touch Raccoonstar as she spoke, but on the inside she was completely nervous about this. The leader was a paranoid pit, she didn't know if she could trust Riverclan or not but she had to, especially if it was against Shadowclan

Reedheart watched the whole ordeal in silence from the shade of the warriors den, ears piqued in curiosity. An alliance? StarClan forbid. He bore no love for Raccoonstar. Yes, every cat in the forest had respected her late mate and predecessor, Stormeye, but she was something else altogether. Reactionary, unstable, untrusting.

That's what made it all so perplexing, though. WindClan had always been nothing to RiverClan. The border was too dangerous, the prey too difficult to catch, and the territory too strange and unfamiliar to take. It was rare for any cats from the two Clans to even meet each other aside from Gatherings, and the only way across the border was over a Twoleg Bridge, far away from WindClan camp.

Yet here Raccoonstar was, standing completely unguarded in an enemy camp requesting an alliance. Reedheart was curious enough to hear what she had to say to hold his tongue for once.

Froststar narrowed her icy gaze on the WindClan leader. It didn't make sense. RiverClan and WindClan never had any ties to each other. They just shared a border. Froststar rarely talked to Raccoonstar ever during gatherings. Then again, you didn't make alliances because you wanted to be best friends. You made them because your clan needed it. "Why is it that you seek to ally with RiverClan, Raccoonstar? What's in it for you? And more importantly, what's in it for me?" But then again, Froststar's mind was already working quickly. Perhaps this would be a good thing, having WindClan on her side. It certainly couldn't be a bad thing, aside from maybe the shaky peace with ShadowClan falling. But if that was the case... Yes, the RiverClan leader decided this could be a very good idea. But she wasn't about to give in yet. you have to at least buy her a drink first

The grey windclan leader gave out a sigh then proceeded to answer the Riverclan leader's questions. "My reasons for this alliance is to stand up against Shadowclan.. I fear that Sagestar has become greedy, and will do anything for land, or find any reason to take it.. I fear even greater that the Shadowclan leader wants to take my half of the former Skyclan territory." Raccoonstar paused for a second, "And if you help me then I am planning an attack on Shadowclan to take their part of the former Skyclan territory. I think this will not only tone down Sagestar's greedyness, but also reduce his threat on our clans. Also if you help me take this territory then I can allow you to any fishing spots in the area." The Windclan leader finished not wanted to spill out her last reason as to why she also wanted the Shadowclan part of Skyclan territory.
