Cinderpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Sagestar leaped up to make an announcement for the clan. He was gettin' too old fer 'dis. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Jagged-Rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled.

Nightcloud padded from the warrior den with sparkling eyes. She knew what today was; it would be Cinderpaw's warrior ceremony. Pride swelled up in her chest as she sat down in the clearing, waiting for the lucky apprentice to appear. Her first apprentice was already becoming a warrior...Gosh, they grow up so fast!

Cinderpaw strode out of the apprentice's den, not quite up to date on what was happening but still assuming some type of ceremony would ensue.

His gazed into the crowed, waiting for the clan to gather before speaking again. "Cinderpaw, step forward."

Cinderpaw's eyes widened as she stepped closer to the rock, gazing upwards at Sagestar. Her warrior ceremony? Wow, short notice much? /shot

"I Sagestar, Leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend you to her in her turn." He said, "Cinderpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," she replied, tail swishing gently, trying not to scream in excitement but her eyes giving it all away.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name." Sagestar said, "Cinderpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Cinderfrost. StarClan honors your courage and energy, and welcome you as a full member of ShadowClan." The tom leaped off the Jagged Rock and rested his chin on the newly named warrior's head.

"Cinderfrost, Cinderfrost!" Nightcloud cheered by herself cause it seemed nobody else liked Cinderfrost with the rest of the Clan, smiling widely at her once-apprentice-now-warrior. Pride flickered in her chest as she watched Cinderfrost, amazed that her apprentice had already gotten her name...it felt like only a moon had past since she had gotten Cinderfrost as her apprentice!

Gingerheart was totally there the entire time and proudly chanted with Nightcloud. "Cinderfrost! Cinderfrost!" it was great to see another warrior in Shadowclan.
