Shadepaws assessment,

The calico she-cat padded to the apprentices den, today was a big day, for both of the cats, she put her head in the apprentices den and meowed somewhat excitedly " Hey Shadepaw, get up you got you assessment!" she turned around quickly and gladly raced to the camps entrance, oh how she could remember her assessment, she was so excited.

Shadepaw leaped to her feet, running over to Patcheye. "Assessment?!"

"Yes, you got an assessment, after this, if you do well enough you'll be a warrior" she meowed gladly starting to leave camp.

"Sweet!" she replied, following closely after her mentor.

As the two arrived at a place lush with lots of prey the she-cat stopped walking "Now I want you to get at least 3 pieces of prey preferably the most difficult piece of prey, I'll be watching, so now, go!" she meowed and stood there signaling the apprentice to start.

Shadepaw nodded, opening her mouth just so to scent for prey. She smelled rabbit; fresh but faint. It wasn't long before she reached the rabbit, it was in plain sight. She waited until it was just close enough and pounced.

It bolted off before she was able to catch it. She cursed, continuing on. She was close enough to the new territory, so she figured she'd give something else a try. Soon enough she scented mouse; nearby, too. Leaning back on her haunches, she leaped forward, claws unsheathed.

She killed it with a swift blow to the neck and buried it quickly. A bird sat nearby, completely undisturbed, searching for worms in the undergrowth. Stalking it quietly, she waited for a brief moment before pouncing.

She killed it swiftly, and buried it just as quickly, heading off for her third and last piece of prey. She saw a mouse before she smelled it; nibbling at the seeds at the base of a tree. Stalking around it for a decent vantage point, she leaped on it.

It escaped from right underneath her claws. She cursed and continued on-- there was another mouse nearby. She leaped at it, rather annoyed that she'd already missed two.
