Honeykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Lionstar leaped onto Highrock, gazing out over the clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Thunderclan meeting!" He called out, waiting for the clan to gather.

Honeykit came racing from the nursery; her fur nice and groomed. She paused to glance sadly at the nursery. She wanted her sister to be with her; but Featherkit didn't want to be a warrior, she wanted to be a medicine cat. She knew she should be happy for Featherkit, and she was...but she also wanted her sister to be at her side during her training, doing everything together...She turned her gaze to Lionstar, sitting down with a small sigh. She so wanted to have Featherkit training with her...

The tom smiled down at Honeykit, his mood enlightened to see an excited, fresh new face joining the Apprentices' den. Oh yes, this was her ceremony, so Honeykit was right to be happy. Most kits were when they became apprentices, after all. Lionstar nodded to her, continuing the ceremony. "Honeykit, please step forward."

Honeykit grinned, taking a paw-step forward as she held her head high. This was it; she was about to get her apprentice name! Her gaze flickered backwards at the nursery for a quick second before turning back to Lionstar. No, she was about to become an apprentice, she couldn't be missing the nursery already, she had just left it! She took a deep breath, waiting for Lionstar to speak. She wasn't going to act like a kit...

Mosspelt sat in the clearing, his grey flecked muzzle turned up into a smile. It was always a happy day when ThunderClan got a new apprentice or warrior. He watched Honeykit proud of her, she was a very talented kit. So he knew she would make a good warrior.

"Today a kit shall become a new apprentice and will learn the ways of the Thunderclan Warrior during her time in training. Honeykit has reached the age of six moons and as custom she will be made into an apprentice and a mentor will be named." Lionstar announced. "Until she has earned her warrior name, she shall be known as Honeypaw. Whitefoot will be her mentor, as I believe he has earned his place as a great Thunderclan warrior. I hope you learn much from him, Honeypaw." He finished, nodding to the new apprentice.
