A lone kit scraggling through

"Oh, you're awake, that's good to see" she purred "Are you hungry, or thirsty?" she asked, and licked his ears.

"I'm hungry!" He said, licking his lips. It seemed like forever since he last ate, or so he thought.

"Go ahead, do not need to ask" she smiled and layed her head on her paws, Longkit was slowly getting off milk, so that was good, and after this young kit was done, she could return to her duties.

The kit began suckling his new mother and for the first time in awhile, he felt comfortable.
