Mintpaw's Border Patrol

Embershade padded into the apprentice den. "Mintpaw! Border patrol!" She padded back out to await for her apprentice by the tunnel.

Mintpaw awoke excitedly. "Coming!" She told her mentor as she got up and stretched. She ran outside and waited for Embershade to take the lead.

"Okay, today, we're going to patrol the borders, so you can see a lot of the territory. Okay?" Embershade glanced behind her to see if Mintpaw was following.

Mintpaw had to stop herself from jumping. "Okay!" She meowed excitedly. "Are we going right now?"

OOC: Are you going to respond?

OOC: Sorry, I was busy. You should try it sometime.

IC: Embershade nodded, continuing on. "Here we are. This is how you mark a border." She meowed, looking back. "Or do you already know?"

Mintpaw thought for a moment then replied, "No. I don't think so. You can show me."

"I'm fine with that." Embershade snapped her head back around, sniffing for a hint of nearby border(s). "Ahh." She muttered, taking a step towards a tree. She marked it, then stepped back, not getting any closer to the smelly, black path. "This is the Thunderpath. Don't step any closer than marking a tree, unless you're heading to the Moonstone." She turned her head towards Mintpaw. "Try what I just did on another tree."

Mintpaw glanced around and spotted a nearby tree. She walked over to it and did what Embershade showed her. She couldn't bare the smell of the Thunderpath much longer, but she didn't want to look like a coward so she stayed and waited for her mentor's response.
