Shelter [P11]

Amalric glared at the cat, lashing his tail. Were all these warriors proud and stupid? "Very well. Greetings, forest cats. My name is Amalric. I am the key to keeping you alive and in your home." he meowed loudly. "I have a plan that could exploit these invading cats, but for it to work these two clans must stay here until our enemy is defeated. The enemy of your enemy is your friend; don't forget that."

"Hold it."

Flamestar stepped forward, fur bristling and tail lashing. His eyes burned with a glare of hatred. "Shadowclan may have listened to you, but I don't trust you at all. You were part of the gang of rogues who almost destroyed my clan!" He snarled, unsheathing his claws. "Don't think I've forgotten you, Amalric!"

Raccoonheart was in the nursery with Twistedkit when she heard a new voice enter the camp. The she-cat's mouth drew back into a snarl, at the sound of him demanding for Stormstar. "Twistedkit, Stay here." The Windclan deputy exited the nursery in time hear about Thunderclan, and Skyclan staying here. Raccoonheart walked up to the cat, "Well Almaric your plan is a bit flawed. We don't have enough food to take care of three clans. And I don't want any of these forest cats in my moor." She hissed.

"Well, soon you won't have enough land to hunt on at all." growled Amalric. "Those rogues are getting closer to your territory, and you will lose your land if you don't--"
He stopped, and looked up at Flamestar. For the first time since he arrived in Windclan camp, tired and not caring less about what rank someone was, his countenance had lost it's confident solemnness, and it was replaced with shock. This was not that cat, was it? It couldn't be; he could have sworn the cat was killed! Was the medicine of these clans so good that even bites to the throat could be healed before the cat died?
"You're alive..." the cat said, though frowned. Thoughts began to flash by his eyes. Thoughts of his hesitation, getting attacked by Godfrey, going back to the Twolegplace to watch Joanna get killed.
Joanna died for no reason. The cat had lived anyhow.
Rage seethed within his pelt. This cat should be dead, and he had hesitated in killing a cat that would have most likely lived anyway. His whole willpower made him want to fling himself at this cat and rip at him with all his power, killing the leader. Joanna's death had to be justified. It had to be unavoidable. She had to have died for something! Nevertheless, he took a deep breath, his eyes narrowed. To top it all off, the cat could be the death of him. He couldn't stand these other clan cats, with their stubbornness and unwillingness to let him save them. He looked at Nightwing, hoping she would back him up.

"Silence, everybody!" Stormstar yowled from his spot behide the group of cats before pushing himself forward and stopping infront of this 'Amalric'. I mean, what kind of name was that? "So, I see you have already met Flamestar...I would be Stormstar; sorry for these cats behavior, they have met the rogues that you must be speaking of so they are a bit on edge." He paused, turning his gaze to look at the flames of hate that burned deeply in Flamestar's eyes. "But; I am sure that Flamestar's hate isn't without just...You smell like ShadowClan and RiverClan, and seeing how you are here warning us about the rogues; I judge that you are on our side?"

Twistedkit had responded with a small 'Awwww' as his mother left the den, but after a few moments of doing nothing and hearing his father call for silence, he got up and padded to the den entrance and poked his head out. Two new scents washed over him, one was a faint smell of...icky, that was the only word Twistedkit could come up with; while the other one, much stronger, smelled like..water and something that the young kit just couldn't place his paws one. His nose upturn from the new scents, he quickly ducked his head back to the nursery before heading toward his nest as fast as he paws could take him. There was just to many scents for him to deal with.

Flamestar flicked his tail, narrowing his eyes, pelt still bristling, teeth still bared. Though, he backed up a few steps for Stormstar, knowing there was no point in attacking this cat now...
...At least, not when everyone was watching.
At the ginger tom's comment, the Skyclan leader simply rolled his eyes and looked towards Lionstar, wondering what kept the cat so calm. He actually seemed rather curious than hostile, unlike the others(with the exception of Stormstar, but he's just cool like that). A bit confused, Flamestar backed up again to sit by the Thunderclan leader.

"He can't be serious, can he? This cat drove out Skyclan and then barged in here ordering cats around. Now he's leading a patrol of Shadowclan cats, yet he doesn't seem to even know leaders have nine lives." He huffed quietly so only the Thunderclan leader could hear. "I don't trust him. Not at all."

Lionstar simply ignored him, his amber gaze hard and unwavering from the scene. He said nothing, only studied this bold newcomer with a watchful gaze. Of course, he was still listening to Flamestar, just not responding. He did agree with one thing, however: He didn't trust this cat. Or a least not yet. He didn't like how this cat didn't seem to know much about Windclan or Thunderclan, yet he was trusted by Shadowclan enough to lead a patrol, even in front of the deputy. This 'Amalric' fellow was not exactly on his good side yet, but he wasn't on his bad side either. So, he'd have to wait and see.

After a moment, when Flamestar was finished complaining, Lionstar simply replied in a quiet tone without dragging his gaze away: "Listen. Just watch and listen."

Ic: Stormstar ear flickered as he glanced halfway at Flamestar, as if warning him to be silence. He hadn't heard what the tom had muttered to Lionstar, but he was sure it wasn't very nice things about Amalric. His gaze instead turned to the cats that were part of the patrol the strange tom had been leading. His yellow eyes widen when he saw the wounds on the ShadowClan cats, before gently pushing Amalric to the side to face the patrol. "What in StarClan's name happened?" he said quickly, before pausing as he gritted his teeth. "The rogues attacked you like they did SkyClan, didn't they?"

Shaking his head with a growl, the tom lashed his tail before turning his gaze to Amalric, then back to the cats. "May, I ask, who Amalric is and what you know about the Deomilites?" Something seemed to nag the leader in the back of his mind...something he had forgotten...but what could be so important that he could of forgotten. Oh, right, telling his Clan was in StarClan's name was going on and what the rogues are. Eh, there would be time for that later...right?

Occ2: I figure we should let whatevercatsEbzandFrostypicked take part in the topic other then asking a strange cat with a strange name everything.

Ic: A black figure stepped out from behind Amalric. "He is right." Her icily blue gaze swept through the leaders. "As deputy of ShadowClan, you have my word that he is telling the truth." Nightwing gave the cats an angry glare. "Amalric stumbled into our camp before the rouges attacked us. He was bloody, and he passed out. Although soon enough, he told us about the battle." She took a step forward and held her head up high. "He gave us enough warning, so we could prepare for battle, and train our apprentices." Her ears dropped and the deputy glanced at the floor. "Amalric fought along our side, but we were driven out." At the last part, her voice wavered. Then the she-cat's eyes shot back up, looking at the cats assembled in front of her. Her blue eyes flashing with defiance. "We are not weak. It was only the sear numbers of them that got us."

"She's right."
Sagestar limped out from behind the small patrol, gritting his teeth since he was supposed to come i guess i dunno. He was worried something like this would happen, though he honestly wasn't so surprised. The tom had full faith in his deputy. Nightwing wasn't what he was worried about. Amalric, however, was a complete stranger to these cats - and clearly an enemy others; his green gaze swept over Flamestar in surprised and restrained relief.
"Calm down, idiot." The ShadowClan leader padded up and hissed in Amalric's ear. He had sent the rouge for one reason - this tom was indeed their key to overcoming the enemy; but Amalric clearly did not understand the aspects and rituals of clan life. No matter how dire the need, they were on WindClan land, talking to three fellow leaders. That couldn't be forgotten.

"The rouges had turned this cat out as a traitor after SkyClan had been driven out." Sagestar explained, "He has proven himself to ShadowClan and has our trust. RiverClan's as well. I swear on all of StarClan, he is no threat to us." He eyed Flamestar for a few moments before shaking the cold breeze off his pelt and looking at the WindClan leader. If they were to get the other clans to agree to this, they would need to know what they were getting themselves into, and not rushing in blindly. "Stormstar, these rouges call themselves 'Crusaders'. They travel out and conquer whatever land they deem worthy for themselves and for their 'Gods'." He explained, looking straight into the leader's cloudy eyes. "IThey hold no code of honor. They show no mercy. They even go as far as - ... 'cat sacrifices'." Even for a perhaps ruthless tom like Sagestar, the look of complete disgust on his face and in his tone. "The size of their group easily rivals that of all five clans combined."

Sagestar slit his emerald eyes, "I do think that it's unreasonable to ask ThunderClan to give up their home, and even more-so to ask WindClan to cater to them." He flicked his gaze in Amalric's direction. "But all of us are here. Perhaps we can come up with a solution? Yeah, RiverClan was here somewhere. Use your imagination and pretend they're here agreeing or something. "We can't run in fear from these fox-hearts. It's our forest and we should be fighting it with tooth and claw. We should take the battle to them!"

By now Flamestar was trembling - Not in fear, but out of pure anger. Shadowclan were quick to accept this rogue in his opinion, but he knew his clan definitely wouldn't trust him. He didn't trust the cat either, still glaring at Amalric. So what if he was cast out? He had still helped them almost completely destroy Skyclan. As leader of the particular clan, most of the hatred towards Amalric was from Flamestar, you could be sure of that.

Still, he didn't have to really listen to Amalric; He could simply look to Sagestar and Froststar for extra rogue information that he might not know. He didn't mind teaming up, in all honesty. His shame had already been put down when they were forced to go to Thunderclan, and this was nothing new. Plus, his clan was small. Perhaps this could work.

However, this situation still needed Stormstar's and Lionstar's approval if they all wanted to "join together" against the rogues. "Other clans should only resort to going to other camps if they are chased out. Otherwise, there will be too many cats compacted into one area, let alone trying to teach them all how to fight on different land." He meowed, stepping forward, wrenching his gaze away from the rogue and onto Sagestar. "We could have messengers for information, and if there is a fight, those cats could get reinforcements from the other clans." He suggested.

Amalric narrowed his eyes. These cats were so formal and so hellbent on ranks that it could be the death of them. Thunderclan and Skyclan would die if they went back, and he only needed one night to plan a battle. He had thought his out so carefully that a change in territories could screw this up. He glared at Sagestar, wondering what he was even doing here. The tom insisted on following, and even though Amalric very much knew he had almost gotten himself killed, he thought Sagestar would have been best if he stayed.
He wanted to explain all of this, but he realized his urgency in driving out the Deos would get him in more trouble. Swallowing his pride, he glared at Flamestar with hatred. Would he really be able to live under the warrior code?

"I agree."

Lionstar finally spoke up, padding forward. He showed no sign of hostility, mostly because this was a very serious matter which did not need quarrels at the moment. At least Stormstar seemed to understand that, and Flamestar seemed to be keeping his mouth shut about previous rivalries. "Though you make a good point, Amalric, it is true that the camps are not built to hold three clans all together. There would be too many cats. However," He paused, gazing around until his eyes landed on Sagestar. "Perhaps if we allowed some cats who are able to temporarily 'adapt' to other territories to spread among the clans, it could even the clans out in case there is an attack. That way, every clan is evenly prepared, and cats who have come from other clans could be the 'messengers' for the clan they are, since they know the territory they are most likely carrying the message to better than others. They'd be able to warn reinforcements much faster. In conclusion, the clans would be evened out and the messengers would have a better chance of getting help fast." He explained, voicing his idea as clearly as he could.

The golden tom looked over at the other leaders, then at Amalric. "It may sound complicated, but it really shouldn't be. If you have a better idea, we're all listening..." He paused again, eyes flicking sideways for a quick glance at Flamestar, "...Well, hopefully all of us."

Amalric blinked at Lionstar. He wasn't sure if so many cats would listen, but...
"You all may stay in your territory, but please--for the sake of your clans--gather your fighters outside that gathering place of your's tonight, when the moon is high. Make sure to wait for me." he turned to Stormstar. "Gather your fights as well and do the same. If you are close enough that they see you, the plan will fail and we will die. Just wait for my signal; you'll know what it is."
Amalric flicked his tail. The face of Urban flashed by in his mind, like a lightning bolt in a bellowing storm. That cat would die at moonhigh. The sky grew a shade of pink and orange, and the sun was rising. He had that day to prepare. Scars and scratches riddled his pelt, though most were closed and hard to make out. He was ready to fight again, alongside his new allies.

Stormstar watched Amalric as he took in the stranger's words. Gather his Clans that could fight outside of Fourtress? He could so so, but he would have to take everybody if he wanted to help win...even his mate, who as of right now was a queen, not a warrior. He turned his gaze to Raccoonheart, then to the nursery. He was sure that his mate would do fine in the battle, Twistedkit was almost six moons old so that means that Raccoonheart would be returning to her duties soon anyways, but he was afraid of what could happen if he took every fighting cat from his Clan. That would leave Duststorm, and the few kits they had. The queens with the youngers kit could stay however, and do their best to keep an eye on who stayed behide...And Twistedkit could also help keep an eye on them.
Stormstar faced Amalric, taking a deep breath before nodding. "Of course. I will bring every cat I can spare to face this threat. If the rogues are as power as you make them to be; we will need every cat that we can get." He paused, before turning to Lionstar and Flamestar. "I hope you will stand by us? You have seen what the rogues can do first-pawed. I've only heard of them, yet I understand what grave danger we are in the longer these rogues stay. Flamestar, I understand you dislike this rogue, but don't let it cloud your choices. Without SkyClan, without any one Clan not on that battle field, who are there to fight will no doubt die fighting in vain."
