Four's Adventure

"U-um.......I can't think of any I'm sorry......" Leafkit replyed embarassed that she didn't know the answer to something that would have benifeted her friends, "Um I know afew herbs but I don't know which herbs are for traveling......" She looked at her paws afraid that they might be mad at her. She thought of the herbs she did know already though she didn't know many it might still be useful.....

Frostkit sat there quietly. He refused to show that he was excited about the journey. He was begaining to feel squished in the willow trunk so he got up and went outside ignoring his friends questions about where he was going. He walked around the willow tree for awhile before sitting down with his eyes close. After afew minutes he goot up to go inside. As he opened his eyes he saw a dark figure as if it were coming twards him but it backed into the mist, "Ok now thats just wierd." he said as he went back inside

"Oh thats ok, Leafkit. It's not a big deal. We can do without them." Seeing Frostkit leave and come back afew minutes after Sootkit asked, "Frostkit whyed you go outside?" Sootkit thought all of them knew it was dangerous outside especialy at night when those Black Figures were roaming about. It wasn't very safe in the trunk of a willow eather but it was better than being out side

"Quite right, Where did you go Frostkit? Don't you know the Black Figures are outside?" Speckledkit asked along with his brother. Speckledkit knew just by looking at Frostkit that he had seen one of them for his fur was fluffed no matter how much he tryed to tame it. Looking outside Speckledkit thought he saw one but it vanished almost instantly

Alarm flickered in Frostkits mind he could NOT let them know he was afraid, "It doesn't matter where I went! And know there are no 'Black Figures' out there you are all loony if you believe there are!" Frostkit snaped. He didn't like being asked questions especialy about something he was afraid of. Going to the farthist root of the willow he lyed down and closed his eyes.

Leafkit sat where she was alarmed by the way Frostkit had yelled. She was trying to think of ways she could help them if anything happened.While thinking she became fully aware that it was starting to rain. She stood up and walked over to the crack and peered out and the rain as it fell. As she watched the rain fall she saw sevrel Black Figures dash past as if they were sneeking around for some odd reason.

Stands up bristeling, "Your the one who's loony if you even begain to think there aren't!" Sootkit hissed. Frostkit was acting foolish by doing this. He knew just like anybody that Frostkit was well aware of the Black Figures. Seeing Leafkit pad past he joined her an looked out at the rain but mostely paying attention to the shadows that flew by at rappid speed. He knew they were Black Figures and that soon they would be forced to abandon the willow

Speckledkit layed there with his eyes closed as if he were asleep. He listened to the calming rain and the whispering of the trees and wind. Mist still blanketed the trees and mounds about them and he thouh it best if they all just spent the night there. But then again that was his opinion not theirs. The soft plip plip plip plip plip plip of the rain soon brought him into a light sleep.

Sootkit sat there for a long while with Leafkit, "Go to sleep, Leafkit, we have a long journey ahead of us and you need your sleep." He said looking at her as she calmly watched the rain, "Im going to keep watch and make sure the Black Figures do not ambush us while we're here." He said as he gazed back out of the crack in the Willow that was now their temporary camp.

Leafkit hesitated for a moment before replying, "Very well, Sootkit, I shall rest now but do wake me if something is to happen." with that she went and layed down next to Speckledkit and Frostkit. Laying down she begain to think of ways she could further help prepare her friends for their long and perrless journey that was to come. Soon she beggain to fall under the spell the rain had cast and drifted to sleep.

Seeing as the others had gone to sleep and Sootkit remained on gaurd Frostkit setteled down to go to sleep as well. He did not like the thought of Black Figures attacking the poor old Willow which now seemed so home-like. Leaving his thoughts for later he closed his eyes and stared to drift asleep along with Speckledkit and Leafkit. There was a long day ahead of them and he was looking forward to it

After a driry night of strait rain-fall and fog. Sootkit woke the other three just as the sun was begaining to rise and they set off in search of a bite to eat. After awhile one of them caught a old but fat squerrel and they desided to share it. After breakfast Sootkit looked in the direction Icepaw had told them to go. it was now begaining to get to late morning and they needed to set off soon.

Yawning Speckledkit looked around, "You know, it doesn't seem so dangerous now that is morning. Speaking of morning why did we get up so soon??" he whined for he was still tired and would have loved to go back to bed. The sun warmed his pelt and he could just lay down and have slept on the spot if it were an option, but alas it was not and they had many miles to go before night-fall.

"Um, Speckledkit, we need to set off early because we have many days worth of land to cover in a short time and to do it quickely we must leave soon." Leafkit said as she looked around for and useful herb that she knew of and could find. There were no herbs she could find at this moment so she desided to keep her eyes open for some along the way.

"I know, I know, I just don't like getting up in the morning thats all." Speckledkit mewed before stoping to scratch behind his ear. Turning to his brother he asked, "So we go to the Abandoned Barn and we will be safe?" He did not like the look of Sootkits face as he though about his question. It was a look of uncertanty. "Well actually forget I asked its not that important at the moment."
