"Ah, here we are." Embershade turned around to face Swiftpaw. "Try again, remember everything I taught you. I'll be watching you, but from above to make sure I don't scare the prey." She turned, and clawed up a tree. "Try now!" She called to her apprentice below.

Swiftpaw opened her jaw so she could let the smells of the forest wash over her and make it easier to sense nearby pray. She caught the sent of a rabbit and she scanned the trees. She realized that it was just on the edge of the small clearing they happened to stop in. she knew that rabbits were fast and harder to catch especially for a new apprentice but it was worth a shot. Swiftpaw held her tail out straight for balance and she move stealthy toward the unsuspecting rabbit making sure she was down wind. she got close very close to the rabbit before it noticed her.
Swiftpaw didn't give it a chance to get away she dashed forward and hit it on the head with her paw and in the rabbit's confusion made the finishing blow. Swiftpaw dragged the rabbit into the clearing and eyes shining bright she stood tall and proud of her catch.

"Great job!" Embershade yelled, clawing down the tree. "That was really good! Let's go find Mosspelt now." She meowed, turning to look for the deputy.

"Alright!" Swiftpaw grabbed the rabbit and tried to hold as much of it off the ground as she could being so small. She was so proud of what she had done that she almost danced the whole way back to find Mosspelt.
