Whitepaw's Training

"You're not spreading out your weight enough." She nudged his shoulder slightly, shifting more of his weight onto his other side. "That's good. Now, keep your tail straight as a stick. Do you smell anything?"

WhitePaw shifted over at Dewclaw's Nudge
He straitened his tail following dewclaws instructions

WhitePaw sniffed the Air
"I smell....Something..."

"Ok, but what is that something?" She asked, pressing for more information. The scent was obvious; she just wanted to see what he could smell.

WhitePaw sniffed again with uncertainty
"I smell...a ThunderClan and.... A mouse I think.." WhitePaw Said with a unconfident look on his face

She nodded slowly. "A mouse indeed." She wasn't going to ask if there was anything else. He'd gotten the battle training down, but hunting may be hard for him. So, she flicked her tail in the direction of the mouse. "Show me what you've got, then."

WhitePaw followed the Smell till he could see the mouse at a bush nearby

He Crouched into a hunting crouch sneaking over to the mouse
He got ready to pounce and....

He caught it! but the pounce was a little funny

WhitePaw picked it up and brought it over to his mentor
"I did It!" WhiteKit Mewed happily

IC: Dewclaw noticed a lift in his spirits. She smiled, knowing he'd do just fine.

WhitePaw Buried the newly caught mouse and started to wander hoping to catch the smell of something else to hunt

WhitePaw Caught the smell of some another mouse
Following it he found a group of mice scattered
He crept up on it and....
The group scattered speeding off Several directions
WhitePaw landed face first in the dirt because of the surprise

Dewclaw shifted uncomfortably on her paws. This was taking a while long, but then again, patience was not her strong point. "That's ok- everyone misses at some point. Even I miss sometimes!"
